We can’t all use our husband’s taxpayer-funded official car and chauffeur to deliver stuff for our toy business, Marlene
Honestly, the brass neck of this woman. The chief of Labour’s Business Forum holds her daughter’s wedding reception at Charles Ic-Caqnu Polidano’s Montekristo Estate, where the Labour Party appears to have some kind of special deal.
She uses her magistrate husband’s official car and chauffeur on a routine basis to deliver parcels to those who buy stuff from her franchise of The Early Learning Centre, and has the same car and chauffeur pick up stock from the stores and deliver it on a nearly-daily basis to her Valletta shop.
And here she is, giving advice on public transport and private cars on Facebook.
Marlene Mizzi
Now that we are told that Arriva buses will have precedence over private cars during rush hours, I have a suggestion on the lines of this wisecrack and which will render the Govt the much needed cash and more jobs for the wardens : Drivers of private cars who have the audacity of overtaking an Arriva bus will be fined on site! Imhatra li t-Task Force ma hasibhiex din ! ( I will send the PM/TM my bill for the brilliant idea in due course)
Go ahead and send the taxpayer the bill for your brilliant idea, Marlene. Forsi t-taxpayer jibghatlek kont lura ghad-delivery services tal-karozza u x-xufier.
Unbelievable. What cheek and arrogance, and such a sense of entitlement.

MEPA director resigns for using MEPA car when he gets his own car allowance.
Should Magistrate Mizzi follow his example, for allowing his wife to use the official car as her business delivery van?
What’s Marlene on about? It’s normal practice in any city, and not just during rush hour; She could try encroaching an oncoming tram or filobus to see what happens to her delivery van, erm official car.
The problem with traffic is everyone’s; if she thinks she’s funny, we don’t.
And by the way, will someone tell her to stop wearing that Cavalli? It’s so…..bunga bunga.
Just got to know about the news item that a Director of MEPA was asked to resign, which he did, when he was making use of the company car besides have an allowance for using his own car.
This seems to have slipped Marlene’s notice. In the above case, Marlene’s husband should be made to do the same thing.
It must be nigh impossible to tell her face from her backside, to put it politely.
To quote Silvio the Economist from your earlier post:
‘This can be reinforced by cutting costs through efficiency, transparency and accountability, three words that seem to have been disappeared from the present administration’s dictionary.’
It seems it’s not only the present administration that has removed these words from its dictionary.
And the MEPA chap had to resign.
A MEPA director was made to resign yesterday for abusing the system. But a magistrate… ah, he’s untouchable.
Then one wonders why there is so little trust in the judiciary.
A MEPA official has just resigned/been fired for abusing the use of his ‘company car’.
How does this revelation regarding the use of the magistrate’s official car for his wife’s business, affect his position?
These are the people calling for accountability and shouting all the time about scandals.
Yesterday we had a MEPA director resign for abusively using a work car.
Shall her holiness Mrs Mizzi and her husband the magistrate admit they used the vehicle in an abusive manner and resign (both of them)?
Or will they prove what everyone already knows – that Labour uses two weights and two measures, whereby PL people have a God-given right to abuse the system?
I suppose Marlene Mizzi’s husband is one of the magistrates wanting their salaries doubled, too.
Not only does Marlene Mizzi’s husband want his salary doubled, but he has also asked for a station wagon as his saloon is not big enough to deliver her toys to her clients.
Do magistrates get a ‘fuel allowance’ as well?
Is Marlene clocking her toy trips so she can refund the State?
Who pays for maintenance?
When the vehicle lease is over and the car returned, is the State charged for excessive mileage?
Is Ms Mizzi claiming ‘delivery expenses’ on her income statement even if the deliveries are made using the magistrate’s chauffeur-driven sedan?
Maybe Joseph should go to the Commissioner and ask for yet another investigation? But I forget, Joseph does not go to the Commissioner, he just sends an email here and an email there and get someone else to stir the pot.
U l-Labour jaljenaw il-poplu taghhom billi jgergru bl-gholi tal-hajja. How ridiculous. Labour should concentrate on these vulgarities. Go stuff yourself with Burberry wear, Marlene.
