Give alms to Super One, please: their van is driving around unlicensed

Recently I wrote that Socialist International had downgraded the Malta Labour Party to observer status from ‘full member’, because the party hasn’t been paying its membership fees.
Now it seems that One TV’s outside broadcasting unit vehicle is driving around unlicensed. The sticker on its windshield says ‘Sept 11’.
With all that money they collected on 13 December, there really is no excuse.

They do lead by example.
Jason Micallef translates into Scots as I McHunt.

Can’t they blame it on Al Qaeda?
Mid-dehra anke l-gallarija li bnew mal-faccata tar Red House fil-Mile dahlet go hajt. Wara qabda tqanzieh biex tellghu l-qafas tal-hadid fuq medda ta’ xhur, issa kollox baqa wieqaf ghal-numru ta’ gimghat.
They seem to have enough money to hire the services of an organisational psychologist. His initials are V.C.
I thought you were going to mention Marisa M L
If it is unlicensed, then it is also uninsured.
Perhaps they’re waiting for the VRT test.
Wrong. A vehicle may be unlicensed whilst still being insured; the reverse, however (ie being licensed whilst NOT being insured), is not possible in practice.
You have to show your insurance certificate when paying your licence, not the other way round.
You would be wrong in UK but I’m not saying that you are wrong in Malta. How much do you know about the matter? Are you in insurance? In UK, insurance companies turn down claims because the need for licensing is scheduled in the policy T&Cs. It is just one more way of binning a claim. So it is an insurance thing primarily and illicitness is consequential. The legislator will have nothing against this because it emphasises the need to pay the RFL.
A licence should be paid before the current one expires. If waiting for a VRT, you cannot drive the vehicle on a public road, and need a TM permit if you need to take it for testing; your insurance has to be in force in those circumstances.
