Malta is not a democratic country: the latest Labour elVE refrain

Published: December 20, 2011 at 9:06am

Malta is not a democratic country, says Aaron Farrugia, whose parents voted to make KMB and Mintoff prime ministers

They’re at it all over the internet, and you know that it’s getting through when the unthinking begin repeating it at parties and while having coffee l-Ferries.

Here’s the former Chief ElVE (he’s since been replaced by Nakita Zammit Alamango), Aaron Farrugia, on Facebook. This man, would you believe, is not an 18-year-old freshman with a Che Guevara poster on his bedroom wall.

He is in his 30s, a married man, who heads Labour’s think-tank Fondazzjoni Ideat, is a candidate for the Labour Party in the next general election, is a member of the Labour Party’s national executive committee, claims to teach economics at the University of Malta, graduated in commerce and finance with a thesis on foreign direct investment in Malta and then qualified as a notary, and this is how he thinks and is not ashamed to advertise the fact on Facebook:

Aaron Farrugia
What we are experiencing in Malta is very close to what is taking place in North Korea, Belarus, Uzbekistan and Burma . Print and electronic media is under heavy state control or influence. The Nationalist Government owns and/or controls all media outlets. What a shame

This ‘elve’ is truly an idiot.

Fortunately for him, he was born in 1980 and missed out on actually living in an undemocratic country, except when he was in nappies and kindergarten and so oblivious.

I must be living in an alternate Malta then.

He was wearing a suit and tie when he said it. Therefore it must be true. QED

Watch this Aaron… non-democratic means you have to weep hysterically at the passing of a hated dictator who made life miserable for his countrymen.

Otherwise you’ll end up in a N. Korean gulag, or worse, join the Great Leader himself.

He clearly hasn’t been to Uzbekistan or Burma, nor, apparently, to any lessons in logic.

If the state controls all media, we must conclude that what he says in print or through electronic media is the voice of the state and that Aaron Farrugia really thinks otherwise.

We are also to conclude that Jason-head-of-Super-One-Micallef is a government stooge, that l-Orizzont, it-Torca, and Kullhadd are pretending to be pro-Labour and that John Bundy snuck into Super One and produces garbage simply to give the Labour party a bad name.

“The Nationalist Government owns and/or controls all media outlets”.

Does this mean that the “Nationalist Government” owns and/or controls Super One TV and Radio? What an idiot.
