Comments have been pouring in telling me that Josanne Cassar was so carefree and indifferent to politics in the early 1980s because her uncle was Mintoff’s minister of education, Philip Muscat.
I didn’t know that. No wonder she’s set herself up as the victim of political discrimination.
And no wonder, too, that her father brought the family back from the United States when any sensible person would have stayed away from Malta.
And no wonder, either, that nobody raided their house, threw stones through the windows, or roughed her up at a police depot.
So that’s why 1980s songs bring a smile to her face. And why she picked a Super One employee (which is what he was then) as a lover.
So much for all the false posturing.

That picture should hang in a built-for-purpose Hall of Shame.
To even think that some yo-yos will be back at their old tricks of the 70s and 80s.
