The Minister for the South: what was he on?

Published: December 16, 2011 at 9:53am

Click on this image and try to understand just what Silvio Parnis wrote on his Facebook wall last Tuesday, to mark Republic Day.

My only explanation is that after he fished those pills out of an old woman’s lavatory (see earlier post and watch video), he must have swallowed them all.

    Hadt mohhi (with crossed aitches).

U ma’ wasalniex ghar-repubblika grazzi ghal Mintoff, izda minhabba il-qbil bejn iz-zewg nahat tal-kamra.

Maybe it’s due to the radiation from his mobile phone.

    Rebublika?

Thought you would catch on to that one. Can’t you see that he is using Sawtspijk.

[Daphne – I wouldn’t have. Somebody sent me a screen shot. This website has become something of a community effort, though I am not quite sure who the community is.]

I suggest a shadow cabinet reshuffle.

Silvio: from minister ghas-sawt to minister of science, technology and tertiary education.

Many of us would love to follow you on Twitter as you became an hourly addiction. Can I persuade you into getting a Twitter account?

[Daphne – I was talking about that yesterday.]

  8. Paul Bonnici says:

He needs to learn to spell.

  9. Jo says:

He needs to repeat all the primary classes again. He doesn’t even know how to write correct Maltese let alone English.

Well, if – God forbid – he ever becomes a minister he’ll have a secretary to do the written work, which going by the bunch of elves militating in the PL won’t be exactly an improvement.

Repubblika u newtrali – thanks to Gaddafi

Jum il-Helsien = Thanks to Britain for refusing to bend and stoop to Mintoff’s demands.

Jum il-Helsien is Labour’s celebration of failure – failing to successfully negotiate with Britain and failing to renew and extend an existing agreement.

    Some achievement!

Daphne I would like to know who the remaining three shadow ministers are, that is for the North, West and East. Can you please investigate?
