George Vella’s great big Freudian slip

Il-prim ministru prattikament, with Franco 'Stop the Ferry' Mercieca, Labour MP prattikament

On Super One radio yesterday, shadow foreign minister George Vella spoke about Joseph Muscat and in a massive Freudian slip called him ‘il-prim ministru’.

When he realised what he’d said, he stumbled over his words and fudged things with: ‘Well, he’s practically the prime minister anyway.’

The guy is a plonker, we all know that. On the other hand, you’ve more than once stated (to my utter dismay) that the PL is sure to be elected in the coming election. Wouldn’t that make George Vella’s Freudian almost justified?

    Against all odds.

The underdog is PM before the election is called.

    What a formidable politician.

Issa se nigu sew. If Franco Debono brings down the government, and then Joseph Muscat becomes prime minister, we might have a cock-fight between Franco and Joseph, in which both claim to be Prime Minister for each of their respective achievements. Prattikament.
