It-tezi ta’ Franco ta’ Mari tad-Drappijiet

Paul Gatt reports on his blog (pawlugatt.com) that when Franco Debono handed in his final law thesis for assessment, he was told it was not up to scratch and he would fail.
His thesis examiners included Carmelo Mifsud Bonnici’s father, Ugo.
Paul Gatt reports that Debono begged and pleaded until those examiners took pity on him and asked him to amend his thesis to be able to get through.
I think it more likely, having been at the receiving end of several such brow-beating monologues over the telephone and in person, that he machine-gun-fire-talked them into exhausted submission.

It all fits like a glove.
Above average performance at school until the mid teens.
Followed by a slow but relentless deterioration starting in the late teens and continuing into adulthood.
I am sure Lawrence Gonzi has expert advice on this.
That is why I am of the opinion that the PM should have done a Neville Chamberlain in this tragic situation.
That would have really been in Malta’s interest.
There is no parallel between the position of Chamberlain then and that of Gonzi now.
there’s a reason why he fished out a form 2C report that’s almost 25 years old.
That’s what happens when il-mama ghadha taghmillu l-ghagin bil-Bovril ta’ erbghin sena.
Pathetic.
He certainly doesn’t strike me as a Marmite kid.
I bet he eats his ‘ross il-forn’ with a spoon instead of with a fork.
Jekk il-mama ghada taghmillu l-ghagin bil-Bovril, I advise him to go and check his blood pressure.
Know the type. Nerd at school. Studying full blast to get good marks.
Later when the school work becomes tougher at 6th form and university, the nerd cannot increase his work output as he is already going at full throttle so he is overtaken by the real bright guys who were having fun during the secondary school years.
What a creep you are, Franco.
Mela dik kienet raguni ohra li qabad mal-ministeru tal-gustizzja.
Franco mhux biss ried ibammblu lil-Joseph Muscat, imma anke anke lil-Carmelo Mifsud Bonnici ghaliex minghalieh li missier Carmelo kien ser jwahhlu dwar it-tezi.
Franco ghandu tahwid go mohhu izjed minn pakkett tal-helu tas-sugu.
Ma nafx kif ma jisthiex juri wiccu gewwa l-Qorti – forsi issa MINISTRU Chris Said joffrilu ‘job’ flok l-qaghtba tal-qorti, ghax ghalekk biss wera li huwa tajjeb Franco.
Thats why Franco Debono is so pissed off that the party financing report of Ugo Mifsud Bonnici was sent to Greco… instead of his own?
It’s like a double kick in the behind. Once, that it wasn’t his report…. and another kick that it was his former thesis examiner’s report which was sent.
Debono’s thesis was about party financing.
Miskin xi gralu, Franco – se jitlef il-qaghleb u l-gbejan – ja pastizz li hu.
Tghid ghalhekk ghazel il-midyear ta’ Form llC u ma xejjirx it-transcript?
This fits Franco’s attitude:

Tghid il-mama ghada tahsillu l-pesisa w timsahlu l-patata?
The biggest result of 1987 was that of the PN over the MLP in the general elections. That changed Malta’s destiny, not Franco Debono’s Form 2c report.
So now we know another reason why ‘he who must not be named’ (because the name has started to make me nauseous) acted so callously towards Carmelo Mifsud Bonnici. Just how many chips on his shoulder is the man carrying around?
Poor man can’t understand that being told by your mummy how wonderful and clever you are does not guarantee that other people might not feel differently, and be right.
According to him, everything and everyone is wrong, except him of course. And then some Mother Theresa wannabes are appalled that he is being called deranged.
There’s another chip to add to the Joseph-Muscat-rivalry and Carmelo-Mifsud-Bonnici-how-dare-he-displace-me–complex:
Gordon Pisani, the OPM’s communications chief, was in the same school class as Franco Debono BUT Pisani gets to attend cabinet meetings and Franco tal-amazing talent does not.
