I wonder why I wasn’t sent one of these.

    [Daphne – It’s a newspaper advertisement.]

  2. Jean Paul says:

What about “Grazzi tal-appogg”? It looks like it was added as an after thought.

    • WhoamI? says:

      it’s wrong biex tghaxxaqha.

      Grazzi ta’ l-appogg.

      Whatever – mhux xorta?

      • Maryanne (2?) says:

Actually not according to the latest revision in grammar rules. (And then we wonder why none of us can write proper Maltese… The language has had more revisions than the pensions legislation.)

  3. Antoniette says:

I was just flipping through channels and caught Anglu the deputy saying that Joseph Muscat is a “statista”! Are these people for real? What has he done to make him one?

  4. Tom Cruise says:

“He also screamed: “Get the *** * back on board.” This message now features on T-shirts being sold across Italy.”

No, it’s not what the PN told Franco Debono.

  5. Botom says:

As a whip he has unlimited telephone calls and most importantly he doesn’t pay a cent.

No problem “cempel wahda u aqta”. Joe Mizzi will call you back and the taxpayer will foot the bill.

    • Antoniette says:

Also, it is easier for their sort than sending a text message. If they managed to put a few words down, half the time I’m sure, they would hardly make any sense.

    • Jozef says:

It could be because he hasn’t yet mastered the art of sending and receiving text messages.

  6. Matt says:

I just can’t understand why the Labour supporters haven’t kicked out this MP. He offers nothing to his party and the country.

Can’t the young Labourites find someone better who would make them proud?

I certainly do not want him to represent me. If elected, Labour will turn the clock back by years. God help us.

  7. verita says:

I received this message on my mobile phone: LAQGHA GHAL DAWK LI JIXTIEQU JGHINU FIL -KAMPANJA ELETTORALI TA’ JOE MIZZI NHAR L-ERBGHA 11 TA’ JANNAR FIS 6.30 FL-UFFICCJU IL-KALKARA.

U jien lil dan Joe Mizzi ma nafux.

  8. Mitqku Deheb says:

Cempel w aqta. Now I wonder what the charge for that phone call would be to the caller.

[Daphne – Nothing, that’s the point. They phone, cut, Mizzi’s phone registers the number and he rings them back at the taxpayer’s expense.]

  9. cat says:

Cempel u aqta’. Couldn’t he leave this kind of message on an answering machine? Being written black on white makes it really funny.

  10. Zammit says:

Is it not strange how quickly Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando popped out to say he will back Franco’s private member’s bill?

He either made his decision rashly without reading the bill, or he read it in super-fast time. Or maybe he just knew about it beforehand.
