Justyne takes her Nannu Ganni out on a leash
Justyne Caruana is out campaigning for votes with her Nannu Ganni, a Suldat ta’ l-Azzar. She tells us about it on Facebook, with an image to illustrate the fact.
She also tells us that she’s a Laburista because her politics have been passed down the generation from her nannu. You know, not because she’s actually thought about it and come to a decision, but because she was brainwashed from birth.
This sort of thing really fills me with hope for a progressive liberal government.

Door to door man-Nannu Ganni din il-gimgha fix-Xewkija . Suldat ta’ l-azzar li dejjem ghex il-valuri tal-Partit Laburista u ghaddihom b’mod sod u b’sahhtu lill-uliedu, lin-nepputijiet u l-pronepputijiet. Grazzi Nan

“out on a leash”, how crass of you.
[Daphne – Really, why? That’s exactly what she’s doing: using her grandfather in the same way that Joseph and Michelle use their twins. “Ara xi hlew Justyne giet man-nannu.” Miskin, he should be left at home in peace. The man can barely walk.]
As a lawyer who is frequently at the Planning Appeals Board, I wonder if she’s discussing the illegal bronze aluminium door, the probably illegal conversion of a garage into a habitable room, or the recent replacement of the pink paving blocks laid by the Local Council with paving of a completely different style and colour to the rest of the street to eliminate the evidence of the ramp.
Dak il-bieb tal-bronz/aluminju jiftah fuq barra. Dik hi haga li mhix permessa, illegali.
Justyne qed tinkrimina n-nies b’dak ir-ritratt.
Miskin he looks disoriented in this photo. Ma hallitux bi kwietu fuq is-sufan.
He’s carrying a stick. Biex igerrex is-sriep nazzjonalisti.
“dejjem ghex il-valuri tal-PL”. Tista tispjegalna Justyne x’kienu dawn il-valuri?
Hamallagni, vulgarità fid-diskors u fl-imgieba, fatwità fil-hsieb, by the look of it.
Good point – I’ve always wondered what these valuri were. Violence, ignorance, hatred, mediocrity? These are the four words which come to mind when I hear the word “Labour”.
Maybe she meant Joseph Muscat’s and Emmanuel Mallia’s values?
Ara ha jaqsam it-triq, f’gih il-Madonna, Justyne! Hallik mil-promises ghall-elezzjoni li jmiss ghax jghaffgu xi trakk ta’ Polidano n-nannu!
She writes better than Anglu Farrugia but it wouldn’t be a Labour comment without the token misspelling or two.
Justyne dear, if you’re reading this, neputijiet has one p.
And it’s nann.
And lil uliedu.
Careful Justyne, there may be illegal immigrants hiding in the boat behind you.
She inherited ‘il-hdura Mintoffjana’.
“nepputi”
JA QABDA ILLITTERATI.

Justyne’s Maltese is very good; only six mistakes to boast of.
When you mention their family they get offended – but then they do not mind humiliating them.
