Sandro Chetcuti, who is currently undergoing trial for his savage assault on union leader Vince Farrugia in his Valletta office, was at the Labour Party’s New Year drinks party at Mile End last week.
Before he was arrested and held on remand, Chetcuti was kept busy organising supper meetings for Joseph Muscat, to introduce him to ‘nies tal-bizniz’.
Chetcuti’s associate in the Labour Business Forum, Emmanuel Mallia, is now also his defence lawyer in the trial. Mallia will be standing for election on the Labour ticket.

These sleaze bags will be running the country soon, thanks to Franco.
Oh, and you just have to read this:

Sometimes I wonder how on earth will Joseph Muscat exercise, perhaps even impose, his authority on people like Manuel Mallia, Anglu Farrugia, Toni Abela, Karmenu Vella, Alex Sceberras Trigona…
For all this talk about being a moderate and progressive movement, I really can’t imagine any one of the above toeing a line just because Joseph Muscat said so. Where there’d be a “conflict of interest” I think they’re going to run circles around him and he won’t even realise what hit him.
They only need him to win the election. My bet is that they will boot him out after a few months.
