Buy tickets to visit seven churches on Maundy Thursday with the Opposition’s kelliem ewlieni ghal biedja u sajd
It looks like Labour MP Anthony Agius Decelis’s seat in parliament is a family affair and a joint project.
Agius Decelis is the Opposition’s chief spokesman – why, because they have several, perhaps? – on farming and fisheries.
His wife is hard at work right now, selling tickets for a Maundy Thursday evening jaunt with ‘il-familja Agius Decelis’, in which you pay eight euros for the pleasure of their company while being transported between seven churches in a mass exercise.
Drinks and food are not included because you’re supposed to be fasting.
Be sure to rush, because your deadline is 3 April.

Il-Belt ta’ Gesù: Nazaret? Gerusalemm?
Ta’ Ġieżu!
€1 per visit and one for good luck.
I’m laughing my head off! Needed this – have a long night ahead at the office and I needed some humour to make me brave the night ahead. Thank you, Daphne and Reporter.
U ejja! Propjament il-gahan malti dawwar l-isem propja tal-knisja Santa Maria ta’ Gesu!
Kemm naghmlu mhatra li mill-Belt lura b’tal-linja?
Jew forsi se jmorru lura bil-privates ta’ Silvio Parnis?
Dawn in-nies ghalija oqbra mbajda.
Implication: Jekk ma tmurx, int infidel.
U giezu giez!
Giezu Gies, nibda nghid meta nisma dawn il-praspar.
Will they also be visiting the ‘suppositorju’?
Simmtalmissierutalibenutalisprintussantuwammen!
Ara naqra fiex wasalna!
There are so many organisations in all the towns and villages that make it a point to arrange cultural and educational outings, is it really necessary for political people to step in as well?
Or do they, in their obsession for power, think playing to the religious sentiments of their constituents will garner them some votes? Shameless.
Anke fir-religjon se jdahhlu l-politika?
Ilhom li dahhluha, minn mindu Mintoff nduna li l-forma religjuza setghet tintuza ghal-poter.
Ohhhhhh x’gharukaza!!!! Nahseb li m’ghandekx xi nanna jew nannu midfuna fil-mizbla…..
“Run Forrest…..run”
Once again, as my Nanna used to say … “U Giezu Giez!”
Dan veru kaz ta’ Giezu Gies.
Il-veru tas-sawt … u l-biki.
I am from the ‘sawt’… but definitely not ‘tal-biki’.
These politicians are playing the saints now. Anything to win votes.
They would be saints if they did it free of charge. With €8 Per person they’re forcing the poor families to soppa tal’gharmla all week and not just on Friday
First they tried to go for the secular vote, then they tried to go for the conservative, then they rinsed, washed, and repeated.
Actually he is from Mosta, I know because he fills my letter box with crap every other week.
He must be popping lots of suppositories, then.
You can take it as swat u Fredujan slip … insomma, if the €8 covers servings of pizza, pastizzi u kafe’, it wouldn’t make it a bad deal. Otherwise it’s a rip-off. Unless chuches have started to charge an entrance fee.
It would be all bad enough if it were just pathetic.
Considering that this sorry lot will be running the country in six months’ time makes it even ominous.
Nista immur, imma jridu jhalluwni inxejjer il-maktur tat-torca?
Kont se naghmel battuta dwar il-maktur u l-Veronika, imma I will desist. Ghax hawnhekk ilhaqna n-nadir of bad taste.
Go ahead Baxxter! I am sure He will forgive you.
Oh well, here we go. Something about how you’re allowed to wave the maktur tat-torca as long as you’ve wiped Joseph Muscat ir-Redentur’s face which miraculously leaves its imprint on the cloth. But 48 hours have passed, and the joke’s edge has been dulled.
On another, really general note: If Private Eye had been Maltese, we’d have an Annual every week. Labour (and Franco Debono and most Maltese politics) is a joke that writes itself.
Dawn tal-lejber b’wahda isbah mill ohra johorgu.
What next?
Mela ser jaghmlu profit ghax jekk johduk sal-Belt Valletta jew il-Belt l-antika, l-Imdina “trip” wiehed jaghmlu ghax il-knejjes kollha fl-istess lokalita’.
Have guitar, will travel.
What next? Seven Visits tours organised by local councils?
What next? Seven ports of the Mediterranean with Karmenu Vella’s Orange?
Or the seven bordellos with a certain prominent member of the — bugger, the police have just lobbed stun grenades into my flat.
What a progressive and liberal idea.
Liberal secularism for the win. Wait…what?
* Sigh *
Desperate people with desperate minds, will do anything of course. Malta reminds me of our neighbours, the Italians, sometimes, maybe some Maltese people have become just a tiny little bit worse.
In Italy, recently, a group of people were arraigned in court for setting up ‘a business’ that provided and sold the ‘miraculous water of Lourdes to the sick and needy’. And they did manage to scam people into buying it for quite an expensive price.
See link http://www.upi.com/Top_News/World-News/2012/02/02/Police-bust-faux-holy-water-racket/UPI-17551328211108/
Selling the ‘miraculous water of Lourdes’ is beyond belief. The water there in in abundance, free and available 24/7, 31/12.
People’s religious beliefs hardly interest me but making money out of the ‘vulnerable’ when most religious activities are free, makes me sick.
Ghal € 8 lanqas naqra bibitta jahasra ? ara vera m’ghandhomx x’jaghmlu dan nies.
Sawm.
U astinenza? Tsk tsk.
Will this spectacle be covered by One – like it will be doing with the Love Sexy event?

Epic.
“The 35-year-old will plead guilty in Los Angeles federal court on Monday to nine charges, including unauthorised access to a computer, wiretapping and indentity theft. He could be jailed for up to 60 years”.
Something different from ta’ Gesu and Seba Knejjes. Reminds me of Cyrus Engerer.
Is Anglu Farrugia going? Not likely, the Decelises are his nemesis.
Last election, Anthony Agius Decelis got more votes than the inspector.
You know what, someone should invite the former Mayor of Mosta.
Eur 8 bil VAT inkluz imma?
Dalle “stelle alle stalle” dawn tal Labour.
Jew irewwhu is-sentiment anti-klerikali socjalista Mintoffjan fuq il-media tal-ONE, jew inkella jisservew bil-knisja u festi religjuzi biex jaghmlu euro jew tnejn ghal propaganda.
