He was such a gentleman, like father like son. RIP
Indeed; anyone who knew him personally can vouch for that
He will surely be missed.
R.I.P, Pete – you were a true gentleman respected by all, except for maybe the few who should have respected you the most. Till we meet again, Peter….
Nice thought, Daphne. Not knowing what to say in these cirucumstances, I associate myself with your comment.
I hope he continues to read your blog.
lost a true gentleman. Rest in peace, my friend! Condolences to his son Stephano and his brother Alex.
Rest in Peace
Only good memories. So long, Pete.
Some people skip the queue. Sadly Peter is now one of them. I shall miss his jokes.
Peter was such a gentle and affable person, and always a joy to talk to whenever we met.
There is no need for my confirmation but Peter was a very positive person and a gentleman indeed. RIP Peter, i will miss you sorely.
What a shock! I had not heard!
We lost a great gentleman.
We were very good friends in the early 60s, when his father was Prime Minister, yet he was always so down-to-earth and ever so lovable.
May the Good Lord bless his soul.
Sincere condolences to his family.
RIP my friend. A true gentleman. A very sad day indeed.
I am sorry to hear of his death. I first met Peter a long time ago and I got to meet him again on this blog. RIP.
Peter was only 62. RIP
Fond memories of a charming work colleague of many years ago. May you rest in peace old friend.
May Peter Borg Olivier rest in peace.
Your journey in this world has ended leaving behind you memories of a joyful, respectful and humble person. Those who were close to you will miss you sorely. In the hearts of your family and friends there is now a vacuum that is not easy to fill.
May God give your family strength in this hour of need.
So long Peter, till we all meet again and may you rest in peace.
Good photo of Peter. I shall always remember that warm and friendly smile of his.
Sangue non mente … sorry to see you leave so early. Adieu Pete. My sincere condolences to the loved ones left behind.
Daphne, may I ask you to kindly pass on my email address privately to Henry?
Haven’t been in touch for many many years and would like to say hello.
[Daphne – I don’t have it, but perhaps he will send it in himself on reading this.]
Rest in peace, Peter. God bless you.
A gentleman who died young.

Rest in peace, my friend.
A gentleman through and through……in many ways. I will miss him.
Divine accolade for this website, its hostess and commenters.
The oration by the priest at Peter’s funeral was full of quotes from the comments above. This blog has made it to heaven.
(Joseph had an off day – he arrived 25 mins before mass was due to start – 5 mins earlier than Lawrence Gonzi)
I’m surprised Muscat didn’t hold a press conference on the church parvis.
I did not know Peter personally, but I knew his father quite well during the years preceding the Independence and by what I read, Peter was indeed a chip of the old block. May he rest in peace.
May God grant him eternal rest.
