Mintoff’s lawyer

If the National Bank of Malta shareholders wish to be taken seriously and get things done, they can start by dropping the law consultancy services of Professor Ian Refalo.
I am told that they are still, unbelievably, using him and that he will be at the shareholders’ meeting next week.
He is, after all, Dom Mintoff’s lawyer and legal adviser, so hardly best placed to wear two hats and serve both masters.
But I forget: this country is crazy.

Unfortunately Professor Refalo is in too deep. He was Philip Attard Montalto’s original choice of lawyer and yet many shareholders share your sentiments. It would be unwise to drop him at the last moment, yes agreed, he does wear two hats.
