Honestly!
I had to use an exclamation mark there, even though I can’t stand them.
In The Times, today:
The government does not have the economic credentials to lead the economy out of the recession, according to Opposition Leader Joseph Muscat.
What a prat, honestly. The Nationalist Party had the economic credentials to lead Malta out of the total wreckage of 1987 and into a semblance of European normality.
It had the economic credentials to lead Malta out of the economic disaster caused by Sant’s 22 months in government with his CET and his freak circuses, then speedily make up for lost time and turn Malta into an EU member state within five to six years.
It had the economic credentials to knock Malta into shape to join the Eurozone. And it has the economic credentials to ensure that we didn’t go under along with our neighbours from 2008 onwards.
But according to a jumped up Super One reporter who has been promoted way beyond his abilities, it doesn’t have the credentials to take Malta out of a statistical mini-recession.
What is he suggesting – that HE does? He and whose army of fossils and freaks and rejects? Where did he get his economic credentials for leading Malta out of recession – by writing propaganda stories for Super One and chasing Sant’s tail?

The ‘economic’ credentials of the PL in government are tried and tested.
The people who are running the party now proved their competence in the 70s and 80s and also between 96 and 98.
Any further comment is superfluous.
And what exactly are we supposed to do? Bypass the election and walk him up the steps of Castille heads lowered as a sign of contrition?
I would have added Il Sogno – he shows great credentials in FB materials and Wi Fi
What an astounding comment from the dwarf! (sorry about the exclamation mark).
An architect, an accountant and a bank clerk all vying for the top finance job?
And the only credible economist has lost all his neutrality by jumping to the red train?
The little twerp just keeps digging.
Let’s have a look at the economic credentials of Joseph Muscat and his team from the Jurassic era:

5. No to university education for anyone who holds the right qualifications.
6. No to computer technology.
7. No to VAT.
8. No to the removal of subsidies.

It is rumoured that, for the first time in ten centuries, the University of Oxford is considering conferring a DLitt (Hon Causa) to the entire PL leadership for their contribution to PPE over the years.
Cicc, you forgot the repeater class.
@Norwegian Wood
You are right. But I just wanted to avoid repeating myself about that one.
@ Ciccio
So what?
L-aqwa li nkunu progressivi.
You should have added the social cost.
How many people had their dreams shattered?
How many people had to leave Malta as they could not stand a quasi dictatorship?
How many people ended up as waiters, operators, cleaners, labourers when they had the potential for so much more?
How many people were hurt by the l-Aristokrazija tal- Haddiema?
How many people lived a life deprived of the basics that fellow Europeans took for granted?
How much time, money and effort was lost in the Partnership vs Membership fight?
Mela dak mhux progress jew?
L-aqwa li ahna progressivi.
Eh, imma is-social cost jidhol biss meta naghmlu is-Sowxjal Impakt Assessmint, dak hemm, li qalilna Joseph.
