How fortunate that his grandfather never lived to see him debase himself so spectacularly

This comment was posted by somebody (who I know well) who, unlike Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando, who was born after his grandfather’s death, actually knew Guze Orlando Smith personally as a family friend.

I remember Guze Orlando Smith as a rather self-effacing, quiet-spoken man; a gentleman who was well respected by all. Nothing like the hollow, unprincipled, and opportunistic attention-seeker that is Jeffrey Pullicino.

So I was right, then. Guze Orlando Smith would have been painfully embarrassed by the dreadful behaviour of the grandson he never knew, but on whose memory that grandson now seeks to trade to better his and his second wife’s chances with a Labour Party that is nothing like Guze Orlando Smith’s.

Jeffrey and Jesmond have to answer whether they considered the economic implications before taking their decision.

Labour have upped the pressure to have him removed immediately, whatever the consequences. They should at least have the decency to show their disdain at this despicable and irresponsible behaviour on Joseph’s part.
His speech yesterday shows he’s on a high and intends to burn the house down. It’s actually quite scary how snide and slimey he can be.

Jeffrey, in particular, has been reported as saying he will support the government, well, Joseph has ignored his disclaimer and is challenging the PM outright now.

Jesmond’s sorry excuse for a plea to make up for what he did, doesn’t exclude him from the destructive rampage Labour intends to wreak on whatever this administration has built.

The EU budget requires an RCC in place, nobody, brilliant as they may be, will be able to take over in a short period of time, get the hang of all the inner workings and, here lies the crux, manage the personal relations Richard had built over the years.

Negotiation is primarily related to personal traits and their manifestation.

If these two are willing to ignore this, they’ll be contributing to a potential disaster brought about by this ridiculous exercise.

Do us a favour, both of you, just this once, do your honourable duty and tell that wimp to shut up, in our collective interest. If you can get yourself to remember who it is you answer to. Your lap dog seems to forget, peeing on the couch and yapping away.

I cannot understand how you believed his lies before the last election.

I also cannot understand why then gen sec Joe Saliba threw out all he had to defend this clown.

I never believed him or his crocodile tears.

As for Franco, everyone in the inner circle knew what kind of character he was and yet he was chosen as pn candidate. We are now reaping the fruit.

Out go Carm and RCC, two of the very best from the very limited pool of capable people at the disposal of the PM. Tough job for Gonzi indeed, and all due to a malfunctioning PN headquarters. I hope they learn the lesson and filter better their candidates also on local council levels.

I put a message on his Facebook wall, telling him how right Daphne CG is about his flawed personality.

A few days later, he removed me from his Friends list.

Why is Joseph Muscat in such a rush to get to office? The latest gaffe, land reclamation, has gone unnoticed.

Studies concluded four years ago show that this cannot be an excuse for rampant construction and its by product, and should only be considered when quarry space runs out. The resulting balance of resources renders it an economic fallacy.

He just doesn’t know what to propose, an electoral campaign to avoid at all costs.

    Let’s see

    The living wage
    The coal proposal
    Land reclamation
Obligatory jobs for 16 year olds
A revision of tax on cement
A removal of tax on any vehicle whatever the emissions
Refurbishment of the same housing estates everyone tries to move away from
The building of ‘homes for the elderly’
Gozo’s difficult decisions to be taken
Revision, reversal, of industrial policy related to niche industrial parks, to mass production facilities
The extension of car parks into village cores
The redistribution of capital employed on restoration and the arts

Where does he come up with these ideas, at some seance with Ceaucescu, Disreali and Henry Ford?

It seems that J. Pullicino doesn’t even want to say that he is related to his grandfather.

His grandfather was Orlando Smith when Jeffrey has dropped the Smith and left only Orlando. I know that in that case that would be a triple barrelled surname which becomes too long.
