Is there any sight more unedifying than a party leader who knows he’s going to win?

Joseph Muscat actually looks ecstatic in this footage, shot last Sunday. Shades of Neil Kinnock, except that this being Malta, I don’t think so.

Anyway, what I really want you to look at is Carmen Ciantar at 0.46 mins, who has taken on the aspect of a granite-faced, angry and bitter Laburista, complete with peroxide hair blow-dried to extinction.

Was this absolutely necessary, or has water found its own level?

One thing’s for sure: the marriage of those two on 11th August is going to be steeped in poisonous negativity. How deeply unpleasant they are.

Carmen Ciantar - soon to be Mrs Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando Smith

He looks like a really cocky little shit. And Carmen Ciantar is beginning to look like Sharon Ellul Bonici (and that’s no compliment).

The real Joseph is slowly coming out. Gone are those carefully choreographed postures of “Ghaqal fit-tmexxija” from last January, where the movement of the jaws and the lips played an important part in composure. Now it’s more like “ejja ha mmorru, ha ntuhom tkaxkira.”

She looks like she has spent a lot of time in Jeffrey’s Botox clinic.

Looks like Jeff did much more than kiss her lips.

Araw sew il-filmat u taraw li min taht dan il-gvern gawda kemm felah imma ghax ixomm rebha Laburista mar fl-ewwel filliera biex jidher u jinghogob forsi jkompli jerda .

The moment the UK floating voters decided against Kinnock in 92.

Don’t despair, Muscat may yet fall to the same fate.

  6. La Redoute says:

The most unedifying aspect of all this is that he can only win by default – can, not will.

In the absence of anything resembling policy – or anyone capable of writing it without misprints or computer malfunctions – and in the absence of anyone without a truckload of baggage who capable of implementing policies, such as they are, what, exactly, is Joseph Muscat’s winning streak?

    Is that Nakita Alamangoat 00:10?

    A clique of nitwits.

“Half of German teenagers do not know that Adolf Hitler was a dictator, according to a survey that organisers said showed a “shocking” lack of awareness of the country’s recent past among the younger generation.” http://www.timesonline.co.uk, 29.06.2012

This is similar to what is happening to our young people in Malta.

They do not know the hardships and lack of democracy we passed through during Mintoff’s regime.

On the anniversary of the Tian An Men massacre, a university student was asked for an opinion. The response was ‘Min hu Tian An Men?’

Really… it makes my stomach churn. Wouldn’t it be ironic if labour did win the next election…. with a one seat majority?

Incidentally… does the guy at 0.18 really have a vote?

Here is another “Star Candidate” – Dr. Edward Gatt – Labour Candidate and of course Anglu Farrugia law firm buddy

If you’ve gotten to a point where you’re linking material from the PN’s half-assed propaganda machine to shore up this Gordian knot of twisted logic and invective, you must be digging up the ground beneath the bottom of the barrel.

Insomma, have fun digging. I keep thinking you can’t sink lower, but you keep amazing me. Hope springs eternal. <3

[Daphne – My dear, if you have got to the point where you’re reduced to using a variety of proxy servers in the United States to post abusive comments here whenever Mizzzz Ciantar is mentioned, then might I suggest you hit the bottle with Jeffrey and drown your sorrows. Incidentally, weren’t you stalking me on this website under the name of Francesca Meilaq three years ago, during the St John’s Cathedral Museum debate? Maybe you think I am stupid.]

Did Jeff remove her back molars to enhance her cheek-bones? She always had such round cheeks.

Why does that remind me of “Nitnejjek mil-kostituzzjoni”?
