Leo patronises gays
I had just finished writing tomorrow’s newspaper column, on the subject of how patronising the Labour Party is towards homosexuals and how its people sound just like the way politicians used to talk about women 20 years ago (“kapaci daqs l-irgiel” etc), when I was sent Leo Brincat’s thoughts on the subject.
Here’s his comment, posted on the Malta Gay Rights website:
Leo Brincat
I will attend not just out of solidarity but in full support of their rights. Sympathy alone is not enough. Near the Surfside today @ 10.30am.
LGBT individuals are indeed part of society.

I am quite sure that there are plenty of people who think of homosexuals in terms of ‘them’ and ‘jahasra’ and ‘msieken’ and ‘sympathy’ and how THEY are part of OUR society TOO.
But I know that it will be immediately obvious to most of my readers what is so very wrong with his attitude.
Let’s face it, he’s also showing his age.

Yep, the Stone Age.
If only these people knew how much I piss myself laughing at them.
Thanks, Daphne.
I wonder what Labour has to say about the position of Sergei Stanishev, now President of the Party of European Socialists, who had declared that he was against such (gay pride) demonstrations.
