    Does this peasant know that president emritus means nothing at all ?

    Our neighbours in Italy automatically appoint their retired presidents ‘Senatore a Vita’.

    In the upper house they are expected to support any political faction or none at all as they wish and vote accordingly.

    There is none of this emritus nonsense in Italy or anywhere else for that matter.

    Jason Micallef would not know anything about all this would he?
