Chairman Jeffrey Mao and his Labour Cultural Revolution friends

A Chinese Cultural Revolution show trial - the Labour Party and Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando continue to share these sentiments

The Chairman Mao personality and inclinations of Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando Smith, which lead to sentiments and behaviour which he holds in common with the Labour Party, are highlighted this mprning by Malta Today, which has a hot-line to this tiny totalitarian jerk.

Except, of course, liberal and progressive Malta Today doesn’t call those sentiments by their real name, largely because the managing editor and staff share them.

Jeffrey is adamant that his Labour witnesses and friends avoid testifying in person before the Nationalist Party executive, that they should be allowed to present (carefully crafted) written affidavits instead.

This means that they avoid proper spoken testimony, in which lying, hesitation and uncertainty can be detected, and it also means, crucially, that they cannot be cross-questioned and quizzed.

It is quite obvious why Jeffrey doesn’t want his Labour friends to say their bit in person. It’s because he’s planning – with their full cooperation, which they cannot have given without the blessing of Jeffrey’s ‘couples’ friend Joseph Muscat – yet another set-up job.

These people are so morally corrupt that it’s unbelievable even to me, who grew up squashed by their immoral, amoral government.

Now Jeffrey is claiming, with the full support of his nasty Labour, pro-Johnny Dalli friends at Malta Today, that his Labour witnesses will not appear before the PN executive because it is awkward for them, being Labour politicians and all.

Really, Jeffrey? My, how strong they are, then, in the courage of their convictions. Or maybe they think, like you seem to do, that the fate of a victim can be decided by lies carefully crafted on pieces of paper.

The oath of a Labour politician is worth little or nothing. I, myself, have watched Jason Micallef kiss the crucifix in court, swear to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth, and then face the magistrate and say that he had no idea I have written a newspaper column for two decades or that I write this blog.

The magistrate’s eyes were on stalks of incredulity.

But Jeffrey and his Labour cronies believe in a Chinese Cultural Revolution system of kangaroo courts and fake trials in which they decide the outcome and everything else has to be made to fit.

These, remember, are the people who, when they were in power, suspended the Constitutional Court, leaving us with no redress, with prime minister Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici telling an interviewer from one of the London broadsheets that Malta doesn’t need courts of law because we have people’s courts, and who then proceeded to lead a convoy of thugs on Drydocks lorries into Valletta to smash the law courts.

And guess what? LEO BRINCAT AND KARMENU VELLA WERE IN HIS CABINET AND CONTINUED TO SIT IN THAT CABINET AND SUPPORT HIM. And now they are going to teach us about corruption and force good men to resign.

Bla zejt f’wicchom.

I’m assuming that Jeffrey would have had nothing to say about collusion, had Richard Cachia Caruana merely slept with a Labour activist every night for more than a decade and gone out to drinks and supper with the Labour leader every couple of weeks to reveal confidential matters and sabotage the Nationalist government, while collaborating with anti-government, anti-PN newspapers like Malta Today.

Joseph seems to think that the real obstacle to power is the PN. Much more than he would have us know.

As if Labour would be seen helping the PN, but that’s what it looks like to the grassroots. As if Jeffrey’s doing this on his own. Not a smart alec their dear leader then.

The problem with tricksters is that they tend to underestimate their target, especially if they’re lazy, makes life easier.

A politician who cannot stand up to be counted and does not have the guts to personally face the music but hides behind a long pondered upon written affidavit, does not qualify to be called a politician let alone expect to lead a country.

Probably they are afraid that they would have to face a NLP profesional who would easily read through their lies.

We tend to forget that Marie Louise Coleiro was the Secretary General of the MLP during the Mintoff and KMB era.

I have the feeling that Jeffrey will not show up before the Executive Committee tomorrow. The excuse will be that he will not be safe at the PN Headquarters.

I think that all these games will end soon as the truth will, very quickly, come to the surface and we will all find out what exactly has been going on. Can’t wait!
