The last pic is so expressive. With the cameras snapping hastily shots of him. I would title this pic “El Fiero” or maybe better “a nobody in the spotlight”.
While i was one of the first to point out the oversized logo on the Ralph Lauren (we assume) polo, I can’t agree that it has been designed for specific markets. It’s on sale freely in the UK and you see more of them if you go to the “wrong” side of London.
They’re naff to say the least, but hey, chavs generate demand for designer clothes as well.
You bet – it has been going on since day 1 of the new bus service. Somebody, somewhere has an agenda and is keen to revert to the old bus service. The Times is falling for it heavily. I had high esteem for a newspaper like The Times. No so anymore I must admit.
Transport Malta develops in detail the broad plans and policies given to it by the government and implements them as best it can.
If the plans and policies are wrong from the very beginning the details and implementation of these will be wrong.
Also, Transport Malta doesn’t really develop policy. The government might consult with it to develop its own policies and plans but ultimately it’s the government that sets policy.
In the case of the public transport reform Transport Malta was given the explicit direction to develop a system that achieves a deduction of subsidies.
This is exactly what TM did and I think, because of this insistence from the government, the idea of a public transport system that responds to the needs of the general public was overlooked.
In other words, we had the situation were instead of having the government giving TM a wish list for an efficient public transport system and TM handing the government the bill, we had the situation were TM had to design a system that catered for the bill that was handed down to it from the very beginning.
Ultimately, the government got what it paid for from TM.
When Ralph Lauren supersized their logo to cater for the plebs they called the line Big Pony. I don’t think the same concept would work so well for Le Coq Sportif, though somebody like Franco Debono might well take kindly to a Big Cock range.
Who on earth goes to an Executive Committee meeting in a polo shirt?
Didn’t his mother teach him that he should at least wear a shirt on such occasions?
More so since he was the subject of discussions.
Then again you wouldn’t expect such seriousness from Franco Debono and Robert Arrigo who both seemed to have thought it was dress down Friday that day.
Shame he didn’t go for a Le Coq Sportif polo shirt … would at least have given us a few laughs.

Must have won it in a cock fight.
Probably its because it has St Aloysius college blazer colour.
It’s true what you said about that Ralph Lauren shirt. I see it a lot in Asia but never seen it in Europe. It is a large show-off label.
The last pic is so expressive. With the cameras snapping hastily shots of him. I would title this pic “El Fiero” or maybe better “a nobody in the spotlight”.
Always after the bling, he didn’t opt for the normal Ralph Lauren Polo logo just in case no one noticed it.
It’s totally naff, but Franco from Hal Ghaxaq thinks it’s cool.
The grand bazaar in Istanbul is full of them.
You also get an apple tea thrown in if you hesitate before buying it.
‘Apollo in a Polo’. What a f**king a**hole.

Go figure !
Maybe it’s a fake, like the person wearing it.
Ostentatious and vulgar. That polo shirt would be a great match to that oversized Rolex.
A Rolex, whether oversized or not, says it all.
It is bling-bling.
The real McCoys are crocodile-strapped Patek Philippe or Vacheron Constantin.

The Times’s anti – Arriva campaign continues.
What is it with The Times and Arriva? I really cannot understand their agenda on this issue.
You bet – it has been going on since day 1 of the new bus service. Somebody, somewhere has an agenda and is keen to revert to the old bus service. The Times is falling for it heavily. I had high esteem for a newspaper like The Times. No so anymore I must admit.
It’s down to Transport Malta isn’t it?
They do all the planning, Arriva only implement.
I was thinking of using the new buses last year until I saw the new routes and far apart the bus stops were.
Clearly designed by someone who never uses the buses.

Is it an original?
Brands, for some people living in Malta, are more important than religion, politics, food, character, job, career and reputation.
Little do they realise that when the time comes, your behaviour judges you, not the brand of clothes you wear.
Thank goodness, Daphne, for a second I thought you were going to let me down not commenting on that massive pseudo-designer (sic) logo.

Where Franco shops…
Dear Franco, that’s a big no-no.
Judging by the colour of that T-shirt, has Franco joined the “moviment” already?

You’re all such a bunch of losers.
