One by one, the Wied is-Sewda Midget’s witnesses are coming apart
So today, former police commissioner George Grech (who was police commissioner at the time) and Assistant Commissioner Michael Cassar (who was head of the Vice Squad at the time) rubbished the claims made by former Labour Ministru Bla Portafoll Joe ‘Something Fishy’ Mizzi.
George Grech threatened legal action.
Michael Cassar released the report he has written for his current boss, Police Commissioner Rizzo. It includes the (I hope) deadpan line:
Whenever the Hon. Joe Mizzi spoke on this issue even personally during some social event, such as the village feast, he always says that we were given the wrong name of the vessel.
So it looks like Something Fishy Mizzi has been obsessing about this matter for some years now, and still he can’t find peace that the police did their job well and that there was nothing to find and he was obviously misinformed by somebody with malicious intent (it happens all the time).
Instead he prefers to believe that Richard Cachia Caruana, who was working in the private sector at the time, rang Police Commissioner George Grech and said, “Look, do you mind? Some very important friends of mine are going to be snorting cocaine on their yacht tomorrow at 9pm. I’ve heard that your men plan to raid it. So instead of telling my friends not to do any snorting because they’re going to be raided, I thought I’d let them go on with their party and ring you to raid another boat instead.”
And the Police Commissioner says: “Yes, of course. Anything you say. Why not?”
Lie down and WEEP.

Joe Mizzi is exposing his gross incompetence as a cabinet minister. He opened his big mouth and told us all about it. Now he is in a fix and Joseph Muscat has a lot to answer about this.
But the real crux is, how vigorously will the Nationalist Party go after him?
Richard Cachia Caruana’s libel suit is just the beginning but may open other questions regarding Mr Mizzi’s false statements, both in the House and outside and his lack of action when he was minister shows that he had no grounds to press the matter further.
Sticking his neck out this time was for pure opportunism and to pander to JPOSC’s vindictive crusade against Cachia Caruana.
Let’s not exaggerate, with gross incompetence. It’s only a case of saying ‘Something Stupid’.
Mizzi speaks too fast for his slow brain to register what he is saying
The man still thinks in terms of pre 1987 ‘do as you please’ attitude especially if berthed near the tunny net unloading boxes.

It seems the one who was nearly killed is to blame for the attempt on his life. What the recording does is to show his resolve to carry on with his life. As for ministers whose career was ruined by their next of kin, forced to resign, Labour should take a leaf out of the PN’s book and do the same.
Unless this is what the movement is, the second chance to all those who failed miserably.
Vera nies tal-biza. They lie through h their teeth, and they believe that people believe them. We’re heading for a rerun of the 1980s.
And these are the kind of people aspiring to become ministers? It’s really sad indeed. Kemm hu injorant dak Joe Mizzi miskin.
‘Lasciateli cantare’…come nel passato. This prospective cabinet minister is a cruel reminder that if Joseph Muscat is elected prime minister, we’re in for disasters in the fields of education, public law and order, undemocratic practices and QASSATAT PROTOTIPICI.
Thumbs down for Joe Mizzi and similar incompetent politicians.
Joseph Muscat should make all his new ministers, Ministri Bla Portafoll, if he gets elected because all of them will be incapable of heading a real ministry.
