Perhaps the Labour press and its camp-followers at Malta Today should ask why Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando was not at the anti-racism rally in Valletta and the Gay Pride demo in Sliema, even though he never misses an opportunity to be seen on camera and even thought his partner and sidekick Evarist Bartolo made a point of being at the first and receiving a Gay Soldier award at the second.

They just don’t want to admit the truth even to themselves: that progressive liberal Jeff is about as progressive and liberal as Norman Lowell and his girlfriend Arlette Baldacchino.

I suppose they think it’s possible to be a Far Right racist homophobe and a progressive liberal at the same time.

The fact is that Jeffrey POS did not raise the spectre of a gay marriage bill because he is progressive and liberal, but because he wants to present Lawrence Gonzi with yet another set of problems in his battle to bring him down and force his resignation through electoral defeat.

Believe me when I saw that if Jeffrey really gave a damn about gay rights he would have been showboating with his heavies at Gay Pride.
