The bitch-fight between Jason and Joseph is edging further into the open as D-Day draws near

Published: July 21, 2012 at 12:05am

While Joseph Muscat (currently on a fortnight’s holiday in Italy with his cheesy wife) does his utmost to build up the credibility of the newly independent member of parliament and get him to cooperate in bringing down the government, Jason Micallef, Super One chief, is going mad on Facebook ripping him apart and posting stuff about Mistragate.

Fascinating. This is an exceptional occasion when I find myself in Jason Micallef’s….camp.

Ah, but Jason is wrong in a point that he makes – that the election was stolen from the Labour Party’s grasp.

He fails to notice that the PN started losing votes after JPOS’s charade, that his actions nearly cost the PN the election and therefore most certainly did not wrest it away from Labour, and a victory which they thought was rightfully theirs.

The shameful thing is that many people – myself included – believed JPOS back then. How naive we were.

This point is very important. If anything, Mistragate would have cost the PN their reelection.

Jason Micallef should be reminded about his mistake, which he himself revealed on Xarabank after the elections, in assessing the number of new votes.

This, of course, besides the fact that Labour had nothing new to offer in their electoral program called Bidu Gdid, except for misprints and mistakes, and Mistra had nothing to do in that.

When the cat is away (on holiday), the mice begin to play.

If Sant was right (and he was) why did he run from PBS rather than face JPO?
Why did Jason escort Sant out like he was his bodyguard?

    • Catsrbest says:

I believe it is simply because Sant has no leadership qualities. He had the damning contract in his hand and because he found himself in a situation which he did not expect, all he could do was cower and run.

A true leader, like Dr Fenech Adami or Dr Gonzi, would have made a meal out of JPO.

Real leaders always behave decisively and calmly in any situation they find themselves in.

It seems that Jason was left out of his own party’s (ahem, Movement No-Name) strategies to cause as much mayhem for PN as is humanly possible through one of it’s MPs.

He didn’t know that he was supposed to praise and encourage the little prick, rather than show him in a bad light.

  5. Lupin says:

Could it be that in 2008 it was Joseph Muscat who spoiled Jason Micallef’s party in some way over the Mistra issue?

Is it possible that Jason Micallef holds facts against Joseph Muscat’s credibility and this is the reason he can’t control him? Could this be the reason he is referred to as il-King?

[Daphne – I see you belong to a younger generation. No, this is the reason Jason is nicknamed Il-King: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Series/JasonKing%5D
