Anglu Farrugia’s true colours

This is the most telling line in Anglu Farrugia’s responses to his interviewer, Andrew Azzopardi (see my earlier post):
“…kont u ghadni u sa nibqa’ u cert li ha mmut socjalist konvint. Illum nistqarr li ersaqt ftit lejn ic-centru ghax nemmen li min irid jahdem maghna ghandu jkollu l-ispazju, imma qatt ma sejjer nitlaq il-principji tieghi.”

An admission, if one was ever needed from a socialist, that socialists leave no space to others to operate. It must be why his leader came out with his “Inhallukom tahdmu” or “Gvern laburista ikun sejf ghal-bizniz.”
But as Anglu suggests, once a socialist, always a socialist.
Oh Christ look at that cuff.
What’s interesting is that the question was to the party’s philosophy as a whole and how it intends to differentiate itself from the PN.
Farrugia’s answer is clear; ‘socjalist konvint’ is Labour jargon for Mintoffjan. Adding that he’s ‘absolutely convinced Joseph has full trust in him’, as much as he has in Muscat, sounds like an irrevocable condition.
Just what the country needs to reassure investors.
Joseph’s comment ‘il-banek marru ahjar milli hasbu’ is also something which requires major clarification, this dilly dallying has to stop.
I think this should be front page stuff for THE TIMES OF MALTA, not reporting every blog Franco posts, or JPOS’s attention-seeking posts on Facebook. My interpretation of this is quite simple – I am vote-shopping at the centre but I will eventually push for socialist policies. Unbelievable.
