Definitely not Robbie Williams

Franco Debono’s favourite song would be a Robbie Williams track, wouldn’t it? It goes with the gold watch, the Big Pony and the constant squawking.

Right now, this is the one I can’t get out of my head, after watching the spellbinding Searching for Sugar Man.

It’s about Sixto Rodriguez, the late 1960s/early 1970s Detroit music legend who never happened – except in South Africa.

And while he was going platinum there, he had no idea and survived financially by doing hard labour on building sites. Unknown and unspecified persons took the money from those millions of record sales.

Nobody in Europe or the United States had ever heard about him, until now, more than 40 years down the line. There are some more tracks down below.

It is rumoured that Franco’s pics (in his (in)famous polo shirt) are being distributed as a bookmark for all those reading 50 Shades of Grey.

Definition of ‘has-been’ from the Oxford Dictionary

a person or thing considered to be outmoded or no longer of any significance: a political has-been

Bye Bye Franco, and to hell with your immature antics.

It is very unfortunate that Franco quoted one of Robbie Williams’s songs. Does he identify with him?

I don’t see the resemblance at all.

Robbie was very open about his mental state of health, whereas Franco claims to be normal.

Robbie also admits that he is not the best singer, and he is very modest, but he is a great entertainer with a cheeky sense of humour. Does Franco think he is entertaining us? Please.

I bet he also thinks this is the soundtrack to his life: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxYhLCzSWB8
