    Tghid Jason sejjer?

Rejoice, Joseph Muscat will be governing with ‘good sense’ if elected to government.

What a blatant admission that he has already lost control.

    • Jozef says:

‘The congress will be held at Ta’ Qali national park.’

Why would a political party choose to discuss and approve policy outdoors in September?

      • Interested Bystander says:

Maybe they have some out-of-date ice lollies they need to shift.

        To the sweating ranked masses.

  2. Academicus says:

If Iftar is not in inverted commas, then “halal” must have a subtler, double meaning …

  3. mandango70 says:

Methinks its a good idea. Genuine and heartfelt? Dunno, but as seen from the outside, its sensibly a grand idea.

In my view PN should do likewise.

[Daphne – You’re not on the outside, so how would you know? And where do you think I got that invitation, if not from somebody who received it and passed it on to me with a scathingly dismissive comment?]

    • mandango70 says:

Coz I am, totally! I might give the impression I’m on the inside, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. I look from the outside.

      • Aunt Hetty says:

Taqtax qabek habib,With a bit of luck they might even hand you a doggie bag with the crumbs of halal pastizzi that will fall from the table after they see you tixxennaq ”looking from the outside”.

    • RJC says:

Been there, done that Mandingo70. The PM does it every year with the Muslim community: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlNr0G3TSe4

    • K says:

      They did.

But instead of hijacking the occasion into a political event by organising it at the glasshouse, the PM visited the Muslim community at the Corradino mosque.

I am now more convinced of the necessity of the French

Politics & Religion: a familiarity that breeds contempt.

  5. The chemist says:

Old Alex will be there trying to make some new friends seeing his old ones have either been shot or jailed.

And he will break more than fasting seeing he must be well over 60 by now.

  6. M. says:

    THE Partit Laburista?

  7. AJS says:

What is this now? Mintoff hu akbar and Joseph is his prophet?

  8. Lorna saliba says:

So he wants to fight illegal immigration and now he embraces the Islamic community in Malta. Hope he doesn’t intend to make a ban on pork when he gets elected.

[Daphne – Not a very bright comment, Lorna. Your assumption is that illegal immigrants are Muslim and Muslims are illegal immigrants.]

  9. Interested Bystander says:

I am taking a couple of visiting friends with me.

Mr and Mrs Cohen will love it.

  10. Jahasra says:

My husband is Muslim but not religious. He doesn’t fast and therefore doesn’t really give a toss about celebrating the breaking of the fast with Joseph.

What he is particularly interested in is if and how a future Labour governement is planning to adress the problem of covert (and sometimes not so covert) racism and the deeply ingrained culture of prejudice in Malta.

Messu jiehu lil Anglu mieghu u zewg burgers minn ta’ McDonalds.

  12. ciccio says:

I see it’s organised by the Partit Laburista.

What happened to the “moviment iffukat”?
