It’s not about pony shirts and watches, he says. Anyway, exactly what is a ‘pony shirt’?

“Various times I made it clear that I am the victim of a bad political system”.
He actually made it abundantly clear that he was the executioner not the victim when he said “Hekk, hu go fik halli tkun taf x’jigifieri meta taghmilli l-hsara mal-Prim Imhallef !” after he ‘beheaded’ the highly respected minister Carm Mifsud Bonnici with his vote in parliament.
I agree that our political system is bad, it’s open for abuse by unscrupulous people, the likes of this spoiled village cock fighter.
Franco Debono is the victim of his own ego, vindictiveness and stupidity.
@ Franco
“Hekk, hu go fik halli tkun taf x’jigifieri meta taghmilli l-hsara mal-Prim Imhallef !”
Pray tell, Dr. Debono; Did you really utter the above words?
Since you proclaim yourself as THE defender of all uprightness and accountabilty, I am sure that you will find no difficulty to openly say the honest truth.
@ Daphne
Sorry, that should have read accountability
Franco shouldn’t worry about the whereabouts of the minister of health.
I would be worried with Joseph Muscat holidaying when his party doesn’t even know what it will do if in government with elections round the corner.
Is he serious enough and has Joseph Muscat got the mettle to be Malta’s prime minister? We need to know more about his competencies and incapabilities. Journalists should seek to expose this leader’s suitabilities.
He doesn’t seem fit for purpose.
Malta deserves better.
Why is it that Franco Debono never criticizes Labour in his blog or anywhere else?
Does he think that Labour has the competence to govern this country?
Maybe someone should organize a competition: Which PN politician will be next to be attacked by Franco in his blog?
Franco, just in case you forgot; you were elected to Parliament by people who want the Nationalist Party to govern for a full five years.
I will be the winner of the competition. The answer is Comodini Cachia, in between the coward will attack by all means, anyone whose surname is Schiavone.
In Maltese: Issa qazzistna
U dardarna.
Franco Debono is going from bad to worse. He is going to spend the rest of his life lamenting his political life.
One of the first Latin words Canon Pirotta taught us in 1968 was ‘puer’ and it… or rather, ‘puerile’, springs to my mind every time I read Debono’s fetid drivel.
Mind you, he does have ONE redeeming feature; he’s (politically) bio-degradable, and the sooner he decomposes to an ashy and dusty oblivion, the better.
Prof Laferla not Profs
Lino Spiteri in today’s Times states ” The leader of the opposition is the only qualified economist in the house”.
Can Joseph Muscat substantiate this claim , or is it a phoney Ph D in Economics ?
Actually, a PhD in Management Research according to Wikipedia. Having said that, I can’t see any evidence-based management in the MLP.
Guide To Job Categories According To The Maltese:
Anything from diagnostic molecular scientist to pathologist = Doctor (tabib)
Anything from interior designer to structural engineer = Architect (perit)
Anything from electrical engineer to mathematician = Scientist (xjenzat)
Anything from businessman to copywriter = Economist (ekonomista)
Why are you questioning Josef’s Ph.D.? Anyone with excellent Form 2 results from St Aloysius College can finish a Ph.D. in 3 years flat while at the same time holding a full time job as a MEP.
Pity the PN did not ask Joe Cassar to carry out a psychiatric assessment of Franco Debono before they accepted him as a candidate.
Franco Debono is Mortally Offended. He Believes that the Evil Clique and The Oligarchy are Out To Get Him.
Someone, shoot the man with a tranquilizer dart before he does any more harm to himself or bores everyone to death.
Rumour has it that Franco is moving house to Attard. It would be very convenient for his mum to visit him when he is locked up.
What a pitiful person. He keeps hammering nails into his own coffin. If he thinks the general public is admiring him, I can assure him that he is miles off the mark. What a drop out. Poor chap.
Ergajna bil-profs – ignorance is bliss.

Hamburger Joe’s Ph.D. Dissertation was entitled:
“Fordism, multinationals and SMEs in the periphery: the case of microstate Malta 1964-2004”
The listed abstract on the British Library website is the following:
“This study focuses on the rise and fall of an SME support organisation in the context of dependent development characterised by a dual-economy: on the one hand, a dominant modern sector composed almost entirely of export-oriented subsidiaries of transnational groups and, on the other, a traditional sector, made up largely of microenterprises catering for the local market.”
Have still to find how this has metamorphosed into economy and thus find the source of Lino’s assertion. The strength of a Ph.D. is usually assessed on the number and quality of publications derived from it. Interestingly, I could find none under Joseph Muscat.
Oh dear, a PhD title with a colon. Doesn’t bode well.
