The way they keep saying “realistic” makes me think they are just using qualifying statements because they don’t even know if they are realistic themselves.

Dunno if you’re related to Daphne, given the surname that is.

Should this be the case, can’t you give her your opinion during lunch or tea or whatever? Do you feel the need to speak to someone who’s physically close to you, via this medium?

Its akin to Facebook communication between friends living 2 kms away from each other.

[Daphne – Edward’s father is my husband’s first cousin. This makes Edward a second cousin to my sons. He is in fact exactly as old as my eldest, which makes him 21 years my junior. Edward lives in London, as do two of my sons. I live in Malta, but even when both Edward and I lived in Malta, we never met. I know it is very hard for a certain type of person to understand that anyone called, say, Caruana Galizia is not immediately connected in the first degree or involved in extended family gatherings every Sunday, but try to work this out. Edward is not speaking to me here. He is posting comments for general consumption, and unlike you, he does so in his own very recognisable name – which is not, incidentally, unique, as there is another Edward Caruana Galizia. When Edward wishes to communicate with me personally, he emails me. Now go away and come back only when you have something constructive to say about the policies being developed by that dreadful political party of yours. Otherwise, you are here for nothing, really.]

MANDANGO 70: I can tell that my comment annoys you from the tone and content of yours.

Would you rather I kept my mouth shut? My, freedom of speech at its best.

And while we’re on the subject, why do you hide behind that ridiculously contrived nickname? Who are you, exactly?

Wouldn’t it be better to just use your own name? As a champion of freedom of speech you sure are afraid to use it.

Simple solution to this. Let the government go on the attack, call an election and call his bluff. So simple.
