Franco and his mummy: his ‘n’ hers boat-houses

I have been given to understand that Franco Debono has put his house in Marsaxlokk on the market.

However, he has kept his boat-house aka “il-kamra” in St. Thomas Bay, where he loves to spend weekends. His mother owns the one next to his.

    Are these boathouses legal?

  3. Gordon says:

You may want ask him if his boathouse (and his mummy’s) is legal – or is he squatting on other people’s land?

I have seen all of Malta and I can say I am amazed that people willingly stay in shanty towns like St Thomas Bay.

    What IS the attraction please?

  5. Grezz says:

Fascinating news, especially since the “boathouses” at St. Thomas Bay were mainly originally “converted” buses or carriages, in much the same way as the green-painted village beneath St. Agatha’s Tower in Mellieha were originally.

      Haha good luck ;)

As an MP he is entitled to using the ministerial lounge at the airport. Truth is unless he tells us himself we won’t have any idea at all.

[Daphne – He won’t be an MP, though, will he. I think you’ve forgotten that.]

  11. Alfred Bugeja says:

Ah! So he is a squatter of public land in St. Thomas Bay.

Very intriguing indeed. The number of ‘kmamar’ there mushroomed in the Golden Years and I’m under the impression that all those who have one were allowed to keep it because they were Laburisti, likely from Żejtun.

The more info is gathered on his background, the more I’m convinced that he’s a stereotypical Labourite idiot who has managed to infiltrate the PN’s ranks.

    • A. Charles says:

Anybody driving down Triq id-Dahla ta’ San Tumas going down from Zejtun to Marsaskala will be highly impressed that the shanty town on the right is obscenely and intensely lit during the night even in winter when the residents have returned to their official abodes.

This is where Debono and his mum have their “kmamar”.

In the unlikely event that this confirmed bachelor ever marries, his mother will have to go on honeymoon with them.

It must be killing you to realise that Franco is constantly published in online news, while you have certainly fallen by the wayside.

Hallina Daph !!! Carry on barking your opinion in your own blogosphere to those few remaining staunch fidili who still care, or have nothing else to do but, to listen, while others do the real politics.

    Hanqa ta’ hmar, Daph !!!

[Daphne – You’ve clearly got your people mixed up.]

    • Angus Black says:

The ones ‘doing real politics’ are certainly not in Joseph’s skip.

Get a life, and stop laughing at yourself, hahaha.

You are as confused as Joseph.

Ah so he has a boathouse. But does he have a boat? Or does he use it as a stable one of his Big Ponies?

  15. H.P. Baxxter says:

    What colour is Franco’s boathouse?

(“What colour is the boathouse in Hereford?”….)

  16. The Phoenix says:

God protect us from you, you blithering idiot. Come what may, whoever wins, you are consigned to the dustbin of history.

    Long may you reign there.
