He is handsome and Austin Gatt is ugly, but Austin Gatt is a minister and he is not. Dan sew?
Here’s a comment posted on his blokk, by somebody who knows – as Laburisti Facebook hordes don’t – that despite the biology, this insult is used only for men and never for women, and most particularly, only for men like Franco Debono.
It looks like he’s so exhausted that he didn’t notice it. Or – could this be possible? – he doesn’t know what it means.

Being a self-confessed poetry buff, while I disagree with Franco’s
logic in his parliament-related arguments, his keen interest in poetry
and particularly Haiku, changes my impression somewhat.
By seeking refuge in this subtle art form, Franco, you have risen by
a few notches in my esteem. I have some regret about having mis-
judged you. I may not agree with what you say, but I now see you in a
different light.

Most people I know had a good laugh this morning at those ‘codes’ and at Franco as well.
For a forty minus something year-old man, and a ‘high achiever’ at that as well, he is pretty naive and dumb.

Come on Franco, it’s time you sat down for a minute and
had a good look at all these comments. But don’t let them
intimidate you. Just remember that you stood up to be
counted. Thats all that matters, not whether you’re from
kirkop or hal-ghaxaq. No-one should tell you how to
enjoy yourself in your spare time. Your entertainment is
not the prerogative of others.
Franco, do what you believe you have to do. You will be
universally remembered for your contribution. Do not
contemplate a retreat, but keep moving forward and
kick down the wall that surrounds us. In the
end, we will all be grateful, if nothing else for the
return to stable governments.

Tieghi ma gibtilhiex?
In the beginning, this Franco saga was worrying but hilarious. Now it’s becoming painful.
WHERE are Franco’s family, relatives and friends? Is it possible that there isn’t a single person who can talk some sense into him and get him to seek the help he needs?
They would be doing the rest of us a favour but the biggest favour will be done to Franco himself and his dear ones. How can they continue to suffer this humiliation which will be getting him nowhere, although that’s not what he believes.
