An absolute classic from Maltastar

On the subject of Monsignor Charles Scicluna:

He has also been the chief prosecutor in child abuse cases involving the clergy and has apparently quickened the process of the abuse of minors at St Joseph Orphanage in St. Venera.

Let’s hope the Labour Party’s mysterious electoral programme is not going to be written, Karmenu Il-Guy Vella having failed to do anything about it, by the same people who write its news stories.

  1. Francis Saliba says:

In the unlikely case of Maltastar being taken to court for libelling Monsignor Charles Scicluna I think that the editor should plead abject ignorance. I would believe him readily.

    • Harry Purdie says:

What a hoot. A perfect specimen of their ignorant command of the English lanquage, The very lanquage in which they will be required to communicate, if elected, to outline, and then specify their, as yet, non-policies to the rest of the world.

      • H.P. Baxxter says:

A quick fumble in the vestry, what.

      • Mario Delicata says:

Dear Harry to state ” their ignorant command of the English lanquage” have a look in the mirror, twice you wrote LANGUAGE incorrect.

  2. Jozef says:

Labour, the shape of things to come.

  3. Antoine Vella says:

It’s not just the electoral programme; by this time next year these morons will be writing government reports and statements.

  4. nutmeg says:

Crass! How do you find it in your heart, Daphne, to comb through all this idiocy day after day?

[Daphne – I don’t do much trawling at all. People send stuff in.]

  5. Joe Micallef says:

I’d love to know how he quickened the process. Did he hire that star candidate from Marsa?

    • Jozef says:

      Ask the puppet master.

He contradicted himself this morning, saying he wasn’t aware of anything until last week, to then explain, a few minutes later, how he used to check every month whether any report had been filed.

    • Josette Jones says:

It sounds like he designed some kind of horrid ‘production line’ for the purpose.

    • anthony says:

      He provided the K-Y gel.

  6. Antoine Vella says:

Maltastar also “reported” that Airmalta will be organising bingo sessions on their flights.

    http://movimentprogressiv.blogspot.com/2012/10/what-happens-when-pregnancy-and-crack.html

Maltastar: “Bingo to replace ‘free’ food on Air Malta”

Airmalta: “We’ve got no plans at the moment to host Bingo games on Air Malta flights, . . .” (Airmalta comment on Facebook)

    http://www.facebook.com/AirMalta/app_312525422091764

And, on The Independent last Sunday, that silly man, Charles Flores wrote a whole article based on the Maltastar report.

  7. Tim Ripard says:

Can anyone who observes these things let us know if the appointment of Charles Scicluna is one in the eye for the hawks like Anton Gouder, or is it more of the same?

  8. David says:

One can speak of process in the legal context as in the expression due process of law.

[Daphne – No, Mr Contrary Pain in the Arse who pops in regularly to contradict. ‘One’ cannot do anything of the sort. The mistake Maltastar made here is bloody obvious: translating the Maltese ‘process’ to the English ‘process’. But then I suppose you would have done the same thing.]

    • David says:

Besides your name calling instincts, I hope you know what due process means.

[Daphne – Unlike you, David, I did not learn English as a second language. So what do you think? And that is quite apart from the fact that I have lived with a lawyer for almost 30 years. And not the EdwARRRRD Zammit Lewis/Franco Debono type, either, biex niftehmu sew.]

  9. robert says:

Daphne believe me you are wasting your time. Well i know youre well paid for your blogs and releases but nowadays who cares what you say?

[Daphne – I’m not paid a cent, Robert. On the contrary, it costs me money in hosting fees and a great deal of time (which is also money). I do it pro bono, as my civic duty. I guess people like you are so caught up in civil liberties that you’ve forgotten the flipside: civic duties.]
