Another Laburist goes to Dalli’s defence

At least I can punctuate better than my brother Joe on Facebook.

Godfrey Grima

This is one of the murkiest, shadiest stories to come out of Brussels in recent days ( you can always rely on Brussels to produce comic relief with it endless flow of wacky, oddball, bizarre stories). I still don’t get a sense of culpability on Dalli’s side. More likely he’s been stitched by big bussiness- not an uncommon tale in Brussels. To those kicking him now stop it- he might get up again.

His spelling and syntax are not much better.

And the punchline’s interesting. Dalli will get up and again and do what, exactly? Is that a threat?

    • ciccio says:

Is this an exercise in damage limitation to protect the Sargas deal?

It’s like get one of Labour’s intellectuals to the rescue so that he can be quoted on the less intellectual Super One shows.

How else would Labour save its Linja Gwida “inrahhsu il-kontijiet”?

    • john says:

It beats me how his brother Joe manages to get up again every morning.

      • ciccio says:

Maybe the first thing he does when he opens his eyes every morning is to think about the fridge and what’s in it?

Come on Godfrey, I know you. You cannot be serious when you dismiss OLAF as some circus clown.

Dalli may be totally innocent but if you were him, in his place, having a normal intelligent view of life and how things work in the big ring, would you have let Brussels or anybody with money stitch you up?

Did the fisheries industry stitch Joe Borg up?

How does a well known character like this Silivio Zammit, with a history of shady dealings, and after the Sliema council fiasco a few months ago, get to contest the council elections on a PN ticket and worse, gets elected and then becomes Deputy Mayor?

We all get what we deserve I guess. The party has become a headless chicken. Gonzi’s insistence on parking problems rather the tackling them head on has resulted in death by a thousand cuts.

This one was parked in Brussels, and is the final cut. Borg Olivier must be rolling in his grave.

[Daphne – Borg Olivier would have been the last to roll in his grave, given his personal choices. Let’s face it, he didn’t even blink at Mintoff’s personal choices. So let’s not insert him into the equation, shall we?]

    • Pampalun: You really pushed Daphne into a corner. And as he had no reply, she used your reference to Borg Olivier to try and say something !

[Daphne – Am I a he or a she, Mr Privitera? No, I was not pushed into a corner. I am merely too well brought up to say certain things, that’s all.]

  4. Jozef says:

Of course he doesn’t get a shade of culpability, he thinks Joseph’s leadership material.

I, for one, never rejoice at others’ misfortune. However, I am angry at what happened and embarassed for Malta, too.

Apart from this, who are you and your ilk to tell us to shut up? When others had to resign, Labour didn’t exactly wear sackcloth. If only some people know when to keep their mouth shut.
