Indeed. And Franco has become the sacrificial lamb (his metaphor, not mine), but not in the way he understands it. He’s nabbed the top spot as National Figure of Ridicule, when the real winners should have been Joseph Muscat, Anglu Farrugia, Toni Abela and their cohorts of cretins.

He’s chaff fired off by the invading aircraft, as it were, confusing the nation’s defences. As Sean Connery would have said, “Releash countermeasuresh.”

No he didn’t. Cabinet did. The President merely signed his assent following convention upon the recommendation given to him by the PM.

  3. Angus Black says:

Very little reason to ‘unleash countermeasuresh’ when the target is set to self-destruct in a matter of weeks.
Debono’s credibility is subzero as it is and he only continues on the belief that those egging him on are ‘ex-PN’ or still PN hoping that somehow he will create his own Party and will vote for him. He is oblivious to the fact that the vast majority are Labourites, always been and always will be, and come election time, the last thing on their mind will be Franco Debono.
He lives in a world of his own where there is no place for anyone else but himself. Franco l-ewwel u qabel kollox.
    What a tedious clown.

    I agree.

Debono is being very effectively used as a decoy by Joey and his hopeless lot.

  5. Neil Dent says:

Did anybody NOT do Connery’s voice on that last bit? Even if only in your head?

  6. H.P. Baxxter says:

Just to clarify: Connery is Joseph Muscat. He has releashed the countermeasuresh.

Yes yes, I know, wrong choice of physical type in the metaphor.

You shee, Adsho… the shtep between ecshtatic vision and shinful frenzhy ish all too brief.
