   Berlusconi has a way of shifting attention away from his personal shenanigans to other issues, knowing fully well what grabs the attention of Italians.

   In the Dalligate, we are for the first time experiencing Italian style politics on a large scale with accusations of conspiracies and hidden hands instead of admitting one’s guilt.

   The day before the sentence was handed down, that’s Monday, he announced his retirement from politics.

   Watched his speech yesterday, looks like a mummy now, caked foundation, pointy eyebrows, maybe some Botox.
