I have a better idea, Franco: why don’t YOU resign and leave us all in peace?

I quote directly from the extreme narcissist’s latest blog-post:

The real cause of all these troubles are Austin Gatt and Manuel Delia with his bendy reform. Why don’t they just resign and leave us all in peace?

Follow the reasoning: the hindrances to this government are caused by cabinet minister Austin Gatt and a man who works for him, Manuel Delia (who has been selected as a PN candidate) because Franco thinks they harmed him and hence they, and not he, should be held accountable for his outrageous blackmail, unbelievably bad behaviour and determination to bring down the government by voting against the Budget.

He uses exactly the same reasoning with me. By criticising him and mocking his ludicrous, crazy and awful thinking and behaviour, I am provoking him for further mischief and therefore I, and not he, am to blame for what he does.

Tragically, Debono is not unique in this cracked reasoning that shears grown men of full responsibility for their appalling actions, as we have seen in the statements made most recently by Dr Josie Muscat (men hit women because they are provoked) and Magistrate Carol Peralta (running a man over in cold blood because he suggested you’re gay is excusable because he made you do it).

Every other day he names those he thinks are the cause of ‘all these troubles’.

Problem is, they’re never the same.

To me, this means that there is probably a hidden agenda. Possibly someone who is pulling the strings from behind the stage.

Already suggested it to him on bis blog. Obviously, he won’t have any of it.

After the election Franco will be worth the amount of money shown on the stamp.

  4. mark v says:

Carol Peralta’s stupid remarks went even further, because he talked about the Mellieha community as if it was a community with a medieval mentality. No wonder our courts are in such a sorry state.

He woud probably like the latest Saudi proposal to censor the Internet because that anti-Moslem film “was responsible for hundreds of deaths”.

The really sad thing is that I know quite a few people who would look at these examples and completely fail to see anything wrong with them.

…..and Franco Debono called me stupid because I said that you cannot declare that you are going to vote against a budget before you know what it contains.

He said that Gonzi is Malta’s Hitler. He obviously never read anything about Hitler.

He wants Gonzi to resign and call an election before he presents the budget. Why doesn’t he resign and let both political parties prepare for the election in peace.

He still has not answered my question, why did he contest the election on the PN ticket since he has a grudge against all members of the cabinet.

The truth is that he is threatening to vote against the budget because he is hurt that Gonzi, Gatt, RCC or the three of them together do not want him to contest on behalf of the PN.

Little children behave in this manner! You do not let me contest so I will vote against the budget. It’s unbelievable.

And the country suffers the consequences.

Has it not crossed this Honourable gentleman’s mind that that he could resign and leave the rest of us in peace?

  8. Joseph Vassallo says:

Franco has changed the title of his latest article once again! It is no longer Gonzi is Malta’s Hitler!

[Daphne – Please don’t use exclamation marks. They give me such a headache. And eradicating them takes up so much of my time.]

  9. Francis Saliba says:

It is an ancient syndrome. “Now look what you have made me do”, says Franco.

  10. Reporter says:

Peralta didn’t say “in cold blood” – there was provocation, meaning heat of the moment.

[Daphne – My dear, ‘heat of the moment’ implies an instantaneous reaction. Going to find your car, getting into it, driving along and then seeing your victim in your path and DECIDING to run him over does not constitute ‘heat of the moment’. It is in cold blood. Had he thumped him there and then, that would have been the heat of the moment.]

I sincerely hope that by now the legal beagles at PN are preoaring libel proceedings against Debono. If not, then there is something very wrong at PN.

[Daphne – As if, I would let it go.]

He has the cheek to stay on and being paid as Parliamentary Assistant without reporting to his office in the Ministry since January. He is still being paid.

    Shouldn’t he resign?
