Oh. My. God.

That vicious little freak, on his blog:

A Prime Minister is not a Sultan , Emperor or King. When will Gonzi start learning from what is happening in Libya?

The Maltese Spring – the fight against the Oligarchy

A Prime Minister cannot appoint a cabinet in a capricious or even irresponsible, not to say SPITEFUL manner, if he expects parliament’s approval.

Ah, I see. The prime minister selected and appointed his cabinet carefully and in such a manner so as to spite Franco Debono. Is this kind of deep paranoia actually treatable?

Perhaps Dr Debono should ring the health minister and fix an appointment to find out. Oh dear, he can’t. Ministers are not permitted private practice.

Maybe that’s why Dr Debono is determined to get the health minister sacked by parliament. He’s doing it so that he can seek his help in the consulting room. After all, Dr Cassar did have a reputation as one of the best psychiatrists around – the Pony Shirt of psychiatry, so to speak.

    From PubMed Health – http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001930/

A person with narcissistic personality disorder may:

React to criticism with rage, shame, or humiliation

Take advantage of other people to achieve his or her own goals

    Have excessive feelings of self-importance

    Exaggerate achievements and talents

Be preoccupied with fantasies of success, power, beauty, intelligence, or ideal love

Have unreasonable expectations of favorable treatment

    Need constant attention and admiration

Disregard the feelings of others, and have little ability to feel empathy

    Have obsessive self-interest

    Pursue mainly selfish goals

I challenge anyone to find one of the above ‘symptoms’ that does not fit Franco’s damaged personality.

If he’s now calling for an election, why doesn’t he present a motion of no confidence in this government himself?

Could it be that Franco suspects the leader of the opposition would vote in favour to get back at him?

I mean, there’s paranoid, psychotic, delusional, ga-ga and then there’s Franco.

Let me get this straight: he says he did not want to become a minister, yet he doesn’t like what the ministers decide and insists on his (negative) power to remove them. Nista’ nkun naf xi jrid dan ir-ragel?

  5. Edward Clemmer says:

Implicitly, Delores Gauci (Richmond Foundation) had Franco in mind over her concerns about political comments stigmatizing persons with mental health problems:

In Franco’s case, it is the “political class” that has risked the greater potential for stigmatization. Franco deserves all the political discussion he gets, all towards making way for a healtheir and actually functional political system.

The prime minsiter has the PREROGATIVE TO APPOINT WHOEVER HE WANTS AND WHEN HE WANTS. That is one of his few prerogatives which no FRANCO will ever remove.
