You know what, Jeffrey Pullicino (that’s your real name, I was with you in school). I think the first to resign should be you and Franco Debono. This was not the ticket you were elected upon. You have absolutely no mandate to behave the way you are doing. This applies especially to Debono whose electoral success went so much to his head that he thinks he is ministerial material. None of you are. Our Prime Minister sussed you both very well and rightfully kept you out of his cabinet. People voted for GonziPN, not for disloyalty and certainly not for the likes of your. You are just two electoral mistakes that Nationalist voters would do well not to repeat ever again. What a let-down. What a pathetic performance. Just to think that back at De La Salle College I had admired you Jeffrey Pullicino. Qatt u qatt ma ippretendejt dan mingandek. Imissek tisthi. Wara dak kollu li ghaddejna minnu fit-tmeninijiet, ser tigi issa u tipprova thassar kollox minhabba pika u pruzunzjoni.

i have an even better solution to solve the impasse.

As a franco debono voter myself, can JPO ask franco debono, on my behalf and on behalf of all the PN electorate who voted for him, to resign. While so doing, can he also ask mugliette to resign and maybe consider resigning himself. after all they are the people who betrayed their voters after being trusted with their vote. In so doing I am more than sure that the budget will be approved without a hitch.

Scott Brown – your contribution is one of the most logical I have ever read.

  2. Il-bierah, ghal ewwel darba Dr. Franco Debono wera dubju serju minn seta kien li , permezz tal-” gangs” tieghu, ipprovoka l-vjolenza fis-snin 80 !

Kiteb li ” min idur bil-“gangs” fi zmien ta’ paci (illum) ahseb u ara x’seta ghamel fi zmien l-inkwiet( is-snin 80)” !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ma tridx tkun gharef wisq biex tinduna ghal min kien qieghed jirreferi !

Kliem li n-nazzjonalisti genwini imisshom jixtarru sewwa !

    • Tania says:

Go to hell Eddy, we don’t need you to tell us who the Nazzjonalisti genwini are.

Besides, these handful people in our party that really belong with your Labour Party are not going to make us forget which party really was run by klikkek.

    • AJS says:

Eddy, you are highly selective in the “evidence” you bring to bear to warrant your claims.

Dr Debono was too young to remember that on election day 1987 a number of known Labour supporters drove around Sliema Strand at around 9-930 am threatening any of the passers by (including myself, I was 21 then).

Among the threats were statements including “if you vote PN, we will know and we will kill you”. They sported a Labour banner too. They added colourful expletives too.

This is only a single instance of the Labour gangs. And, yes they were labour thugs and gangs. I wonder why you deny their existence.

I guess the Nationalists are right – the Labour Party never changes,

This is what matters not the words whose credibility is only sustained by those who want to go to the polls now.

What’s the hurry anyway? Is the Labour manifesto ready and published?

    • ninnu says:

Ma tridx tkun tkun gharef wisq biex tinduna ghal min kien qieghed jirreferi.

  3. Daphne, how about bringing to the attention of your fans, other pertinent comments both from timesofmalta.com’s board, as well as from Franco Debono’s blog, written also by nationalists, commenting most negatively about Lawrence Gonzi and GonziPN ? This would give a balanced view of the situation in GonziPN’s camp !

    • Ivan says:

Go rot in hell with your beloved Mintoff, Mr Privitera.

You are trying to rewrite history by blaming Austin Gatt for the attrocities of the 80s committed by a group of Labour thugs of the likes of Fusellu, Ganni il-Pupa, Qahbu and Karmenu Vella’s driver.

Int veru ma tisthix imma ta. Insomma, not surprising coming from a Laburist like you.

    • Tania says:

No, those comments are not made by Nationalists. Your party, the stinking Labour Party, has instructed its followers to write on every portal they find and pretend to be ex or disgruntled Nationalists so that real Nationalists reading their comments will be fooled into thinking others are finding fault with their party.

I am positive this is so and that the Labour Party would stoop so low, although not a surprise, shows the desparation it is in to try at all costs to get to Castile.

    • Homer says:

A hundred inane comments do not ‘balance’ a single well argued or truthful comment.

Unlike yourself and many others, most of this blog’s readers are not impressed by volume. A lie is a lie, no matter how many times (or how many people) repeat it.

    • Toyger says:

And those would be comments written by people like you Eddy? Real nationalists my foot!

    • a. attard says:

And what makes you think that those, or some of those, writing on Franco Debono’s blog are in fact Nationalists?

    • Lilla says:

Dear Mr. “exclamation mark after every stupid, monotonous post” Privitera,

What an unbelieveable shame that we have to read your inane comments here too. Can you do the world a favour and find a hobby?

Preferably one that forces you to leave the home.

Take a walk near Dingli cliffs for example. Or paragliding, bungee jumping, abseiling. Horse riding even.

      Just a suggestion.

  4. marks says:

Now would be the time for the electorate in the respective districts to organise a petition for the removal of JP(OS) and FD. After all, JP has just declared he owes his loyalty to the electorate.

    • maryanne says:

I really think we should do something and put some pressure on these two MPs. A show of solidarity with Lawrence Gonzi and the PN will quickly tell them where our loyalty stands.

      • Toyger says:

        Maybe The Times could do one of their on-line polls on this;

Who would you like to see resign?
        A) Austin Gatt,
        B) Franco Debono
        C) Jeffrey Pullicino (Orlando Smith)
        D) B and C

  5. Just me says:

    @Eddy Privitera.
You said “written also by nationalists”. Excuse me, but how can you tell who they really are? They are most probably laborites pretending to be Nationalist.

  6. Marianne says:

Franco is there to represent the Nationalist votes given to him by those who wanted the Nationalist Party to govern. He was not elected as an independent so he should either back what he was sent to represent of else resign.

  7. Busufu says:

Il-PN jissahhah u jisseddaq jekk jiddikjara darba ghal dejjem u b’vuci soda li m’ghandux x’jaqsam iktar mat-tliet qlafat li kasbruh.

Iktar ma jfittex jaghmilha malajr iktar jiswielu.

    • Angus Black says:

Dak diga ghamluh, Busufu meta il-Kumitat Ezekuttiv tal-Partit iddecieda li ma jhallix lill dawn jikkontestaw l-elezzjoni mal Partit Nazzjonalista.

  8. r pace bonello says:

Is Mr E Privitera of the family that did so well with the toilet paper business during the import substituation golden years?

  9. elephant says:

Privitera should be reminded of the FACT that in Zejtun, Labour thugs were placed in front of the door of Nationalist voters to prevent them from going to vote at the polling station. Privitera and his stinking friends know this.

  10. elephant says:

Another point for Privitera – he is old enough to remember that HIS Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici was the one who lead the “Aristocracy of the workers” when they ransacked to Archbishop’s Curia in Floriana – A FEW INCHES away from the then corrupt Police Headquarters

  11. elephant says:

And another point for all those who are thinking of prefering the Labour Party in the next election: if anybody can convice me that these miserable people have changed, please come out with it and tell us what is the change (for the better).

If Labour wins it will be because Muscat has filled his skip with rubbish who do not even know how the voting system works.

Muscat is relying on the illiterate vote – one of the great defects in democracy.

  12. elephant says:

Just follow the Debono Grech episode and you will soon realize what we are in for if Labour wins. However, I am still convinced that the majority of the Maltese people are not stupid. That is, at least my hope.
