A simple exercise to while away the time while waiting for the result

Compare Tonio Fenech/Simon Busuttil to Anglu Farrugia/Toni Abela.
Therein lies the difference between the Nationalist Party and the Labour Party. Those who pick the latter for a change strike me as being the sort who would throw out an Etro dress for a piece of the kind of Lycra tat you might see on a girl throwing up in the gutter in Paceville.
In other words, they either have a lower than average IQ or need to get their head examined.

No contest whatsoever!
Anglu Farrugia will be ousted from deputy after the election.
The Nationalist Party ‘ha l imbarazzo della scelta’ while the Malta Labour Party ‘ha la scelta dell imbarazzo’
Simon Busuttil elected!
Etro?dik xizobb hi?
Zgur mhux sabiha daqs tannajki ta!
Dawk jaghmlu ahmar jghajjat u jleqq biex imorru mad dwiefer u xaghri?
You chose Etro to piss them off? Right?
They are all confused now.
With Simon Busuttil as Deputy Leader, it is the PN who can really boast of a ‘bidu gdid,’ rather than the tired PL team chock-a-bloc with old has-beens from the nightmarish 70s and 80s.
Eddy, smajthom il-leaders tal partit Nazzjonalista. Hekk jkunu mexxeja ta partit w nazzjon. Ghalhekk nivvotaw lil dawn il-mexxeja hax kapaci li jserrvu lil Malta.
Well said.
May I again employ ‘Gullivers’s Travels’ to compare?
Simon and Tonio, the ‘Houyhnhnms’.
Anglu and Tony, the ‘Yahoos’.
Labour ‘readers’ may Google the italicized words.
In fact, it seems that Labour has stopped talking about change altogether.
They now seem to favour status quo. In fact, they have just declared that they will adopt the Tonio Fenech/PN budget – and not just the positive measures, but also all the measures to finance it.
They also seem to be backtracking on their promise to reduce electricity tariffs.
At this point, what’s the point of changing government?
We’ll get the opportunity to compare them on Xarabank next Friday.
Couldn’t agree more.
Labour are not exactly spoilt for choice, but the ill-judged choice of the Tucks and Tache duo can only reflect badly on the infamously simple PL party delegates who voted them in.
