George Vella, speaking in parliament last night, said that he suspects a Hidden Hand in the removal of John Dalli and the obstruction of Tonio Borg.
God, these people are so tediously predictable.
Was there also a Hidden Hand in the award by the courts of some 200,000 euros to his first cousin the sacked casual nurse with a Mercedes SLK?
I trust not. So…

Joseph Muscat’s thought bubble: “George, we LOVE the EU now…”
So much so that Alfred Sant will be an MLP EP candidate.
Joseph Muscat’s thought bubble: I’m surrounded by bloody idiots.
Tim. Wouldn’t it be better if you GonziPN commentators prepare yourself for the budget BOMBSHELL announced much more clearly today by Franco Debono ?
200K for the nurse.
It is EUR 200,000 not EUR 800,000
In my experience, it’s always the cheats who accuse others of cheating.
While I do not discard the likelihood that business, rather than political hidden interests, could have fuelled opposition to Tonio Borg candidacy so as to delay further the EU directive on tobacco, I would also add that this does not exonerate any politician who succumbed to this pressure.
Is he saying, given the pattern of voting against Tonio Borg, that these “conspirators” are Socialists or Greens?
Was that his guilt conscience speaking? (in the case of the obstruction games of Tonio Borg).
It is a very common psycological defense mechanism, where one projects his / her own vicious deeds (and thoughts) onto others.
And you did not listen to him speaking at the meeting last Sunday. The amount of hate he still harbours towards all that is EU is incredible.
He was trying to blame the current economic situation on past EPP governments saying that they were too ‘liberal’.
And if that was not enough, EU Sceptic No1 Alfred Sant wants to be an MEP.
Lord help us.
Never mind a hidden hand, George Vella must have a hidden foot in his mouth.
The PPE, Conservatists and Right Wingers declared that they would vote for Tonio Borg. The Greens and Liberals declared that they will vote against. That leaves the Socialist Group …… who does the Hidden Hand belong to ?
If Alfred Sant makes it, he will solve so many of the EU`S problems! and write a book about it too!
Are those two caterpillars crawling around his forehead?

How can someone who does not believe in Malta’s membership of the EU ever represent Malta in one of the EU’s most important institutions?
We can now add Sant to the list of Labour’s pseudo converts to the EU cause.
Money talks and bends principles.
An observation worth considering. Alfred Sant just waited for the EU Parliament verdict on Tonio Borg before announcing today that he wants to contest the EU Parliament elections.
Were he and Muscat working for the defeat of Tonio Borg to put pressure on the PM not to nominate someone else, so that Muscat would then propose Sant as Commissioner?
This is the artwork for the cover of Fifty Shades of Grey, surely.
