Jeez, Joey, we’re in deep shit. Hoping you can correct this.

How’s the line at the doughnut outlet? I hear you’ve had to ship in extra fryers and hire more staff, such are starvation levels in Malta.

I heard that in the next budget Tonio Borg will be introducing a new social service, namely, The Starvation Kitchens.

The first one is being set-up in St. George’s Square in Valletta near the fountain, so that after collecting the free meals, the citizens of Valletta, can fill up the water jerrycans to beat the water bills, killing two birds with one stone.

Lengthening, Baxxter. See you next week?

      • H.P. Baxxter says:

Sure. I’m getting my snowboard waxed as we speak and look forward to several calm, quiet, and Cognac-soaked après-ski evenings, such as this:

Watch the figures rising sharply, Eddy. Malta exports of goods and service has shot up to 6.4bn euros in 2011 and is currently at an all time high of 98% of GDP. This means that Malta has grown exponentially under Nationalists governments. By contrast, we had linear decay under the socialist ones.

They have a strong case: Their supporters cannot or better still are not able to see Labour’s bluff

    I feel provocative.

Could it be that many of them go to buy medicine from England as they are out of Stock in Malta and much cheaper there?

I know quite a few who to go to see a doctor in Italy, cause they can’t wait months on end for an appointment in Malta.

Could some of them be the blue-eyed boys and girls who are employed in Brussels, who make it a point of coming home on weekends?

Each of these will add 100 in/ out tourists p.a.

Could some of them be those lucky few who go (on private planes) to watch a football match, of course for free.

    Means nothing really.

Go to any good and expensive Milan restaurant on any Monday, and you’ll find it jampacked. Berlusconi, at the time Italian premier, had used this line to counter the claims of a crisis in the country.

Then try checking on the unemployment levels, the extent of graduates working pro-bono for finance firms, the quality of life of several tens of thousands…..and you’ll find a different story.

I’ve been wondering what’s become of barrel of joy, Eddy Privitera. I guess maybe he’s abroad.
