Did Jeffrey Pullicino down a barrel of Earl Grey before putting his name to this article?
Jeffrey Pulicino had a piece published in The Malta Independent on Sunday, from which I quote:
I can only look forward to a day when good men such as Lawrence Gonzi and Simon Busuttil are allowed to run the party unfettered. That can only happen if the PN is defeated at the polls in the forthcoming election and is given the opportunity of doing some much delayed soul-searching in opposition.
Carmen the Super One Opinjonista has been whispering into his ear on that pillow again. His words transparently feed into the Labour Party’s whispering campaign that ‘true Nationalists’ (you know, as distinct from fake ones made of plastic) should vote Labour or not vote at all because the Nationalist Party “needs to be defeated to reform itself”.
Here’s the rationale: to sort out the party, you f**k up the country.
Ah, but there’s more. Jeffrey Pullicino wants to see Lawrence Gonzi defeated because he hates his guts and has spent the last four and a half years making his life utter hell.
His statement is not just yet another lie. It is completely irrational. He says that he wants Gonzi defeated so that Gonzi will be allowed “to run the party unfettered”.
But if Gonzi is defeated, he will have to resign and will play as much of a role in running the party unfettered as Sant does now with Labour.
So does he want Gonzi defeated so that Simon Busuttil will run the Nationalist Party? Coming so soon after his publicised chat with him, this is a bad move, because it is tantamount to saying that he wants the Nationalist Party to lose the election so that Busuttil will become party leader.
It’s putting Busuttil on the same amoral footing as Joseph Muscat, who was pleased when Labour lost in 2008 because it allowed him to become party leader and prime minister.
Jeffrey’s lying hypocrisy is just beyond belief, really. “Good men like Lawrence Gonzi and Simon Busuttil”? Unbelievable. For hours I had to listen to him call the prime minister all the names under the sun in a voice poisonous with hatred and contempt.
When I finally broke off all contact with Jeffrey three years ago, and asked him to kindly never ring me again because I did not wish to hear descriptions of antics of which I thoroughly disapproved, it was when he rang – in a full flood of crazed excitement – to tell me how he had accosted Simon Busuttil in a lift, how he swore at him and said X, Y and Z, and how he frightened him into running out of the lift at the next stop.
His lies and self-delusion are quite breath-taking.

I had to read the quoted paragraph twice.
JPO is calling Lawrence Gonzi a good man. Now I’m waiting for Franco Debono to choose his adjective. to describe our prime minister.
It’s not fair to just declare that I love you. In fact I want to really show my true love by stabbing you in the back.
It is a real shame that the Party (PN) had to have such people within its ranks – shame.
Who can believe Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando when he is double faced.
cannon its you and some others writing against him nowadays,
In 2008 when Alfred Sant prooved to you and the others, that JPO he is what he is you and the clever others ignored him. Basta, mia culpa htijja tieghi.
We did recognise a long time ago that JPO lied to the Prime Minister and to the nation. I don’t understand why Labour took him under its wings. Labour didn’t mention the Mistra case again.
[Daphne – That’s because he’s married to a Labour activist now, Canon, and a Super One ‘opinjonista’.]
JPO is day and night Labour.
JPO lost his credibility with the Mistra episode.
He has not regained it with trying to keep a foothold in both political camps. His “kind” words sound very hollow and he is a fool if he thinks that he is fooling his readers.
Slippery!
Yep, on a slippery slope into the abyss.
Maryanne, actually Franco has already come up with his own phrase on his blog – http://www.francodebono.com/2012/11/07/brazilian-dribbling-some-advice-for-dr-gonzi/
“For years, to me Dr Gonzi was someone very special. To me he excelled in good qualities and he was larger than life. I followed him blindly and selflessly. Seeing him in the state he has been reduced to today, I must be honest to say that at times I feel sorry for him. Essentially what led to this state is the people he chose to surround himself with. Their names are all to obvious to need mentioning. They hijacked him and from the PN’s greatest asset they made out of him the party’s greatest liability.
………
How I wish it’s still the time I used to look at Gonzi in a completely different way. My perception unfortunately changed because he surrounded himself by people who have destroyed him. I tried to save him many times, as he knows, but was a minnow in that shark tub.”
Ara, mela ghandna salvatur iehor?. L-ewwel kellna lil ta’ Bormla u issa ta’ Hal Ghaxaq bis-serduk b’kollox. Qu Qu Qu Quuu
Definitely not his writing. His ghost writer’s at it again.
Ghost? More like a poltergeist from limbo if you ask me.
I think that JPO is missing the plot again .
He should have written an article about how the MLP missed two golden opportunities when its delegates elected Sant instead of Spiteri and Muscat instead of Abela.
They cannot realize how they harmed the MLP in particular and Malta in general.
I think that he and Franco Debono should make a proper research to find out where the real cliques exist before pointing fingers at the party which trusted them and which they are blatantly betraying..
If the Tooth Fairy did not down a barrel of Earl Grey before putting his name to this article, could it be that he was thinking about some deal he may have struck with Joseph Muscat, or the Labour party, and from which he could benefit, if Labour is elected to govern?
Going to parliament in a suit, shirt and NO TIE, outrageous. Jeffrey has already taken to the PL’s perception of what it deems to be proper attire.
I like Gonzi. He is a good man, a truly honest and good man.
But this is of his making. I mean the situation the country, the parliament and the party find themselves in.
It is a tragedy. Sad, but true.
If Gonzi was strong, when he knew that JPO was lying and betraying the people, he should have gone back to the people and said, one of the people you trusted, has betrayed you and me. I cannot accept this victory based on a lie.
Let us have another election.
Call me naive, but I bet he would have convinced the swingers back and won a landslide victory.
As it stands, he spent the entire administration distracted by a wasteful, nasty piece of shit, a scumbag, a slimeball, a jerk-off, an idiot, a tosspot and his fellow tosser.
When a football player is not chosen for the first team he has to sit on the bench if at all, whether he likes it or not.
He may not agree with the team coach’s decisions but those are the rules he must observe.
If the player is good enough he may attract the interest of other teams and possibly seek a transfer.
But blackmail is not acceptable in sports and is despicable behaviour in life and politics.
“A Few Good Men” by loony Jeff.
JPO needs to do some deep soul searching. He is cold, calculating and evil.
JPO and Franco’s phony appeasement remind me of the famous Angry Birds Peace Treaty attempt.
All a waste of space and time.

Michael Farrugia, the shadow minister for IT who knows jackshit about IT. Which makes him TOTALLY dependent on what his advisors might /might not chose to impart to him.
What idiocy! It’s like sending a ship to the seabed just so the crew can have a team-building session. Wreck the nation to restore a party.
