Labour politician turned economist (or is it the other way round?) Joe Vella Bonnici, Labour mayor of Qormi Nuxellina, and several Super One reporters spent their Sunday afternoon doing the shops at Tigne Point.
How are they going to pay their electricity bill?

Have you booked your cruise yet?
I can think of several ways the Qormi mayor can earn a living – as for the others, Joseph will provide all that’s necessary. (Free of course)
Probably the do not pay as maybe they are on the list of the ‘vulnerable’ people who cannot afford to pay their water and electricity bill and may also be availing themselves of government subsidies.
They say ‘dan il-gvern, qeridna’, to get sympathy and win votes.
Just like No2Eu, imbaghad kollha marru jahdmu Brussels.
This country really is nuts. come on, I have never seen so many political contradictions in my life!
The PL motto :
L-ixkubetta fiha l-grillu …..
The international spy network in one of its more daring espionage missions!
Impressive. I’m speechless.
You should be. They’re everywhere: in the shops, abroad, on cruises, at sea.
Spending the money of course.
You need to catch up.
Typical Labour. The pattern never varies. Ma jafux jisthu. Muscat’s endorsement of his mentor to represent ALL MALTESE as an MEP come March 2014 perhaps tops them all.
Great piece… really sums up new PL’s economic policy:

I met this guy (Bonnici) a couple of times. Writes BS in the local rags once in a while. Scraped through with a BA in ‘something’.
Scooped a cushy job under Sant.
Superb candidate for the ‘Malta Looney Party’.
Our electricity bill just came in the post today…drum rolls please: total of 295 euro for 6 months (total actual) for two people.
Maria santissma ma nafx kif se nhallsu!
I’m sorry, but whoever is complaining of these hugely exorbitant bills is either living in cuckoo land or else has no idea of how to manage their paycheques. I budget 80-90 euro a month for our utility bills, so this bill actually left me money in the kitty.
