How dreadful to think that this was only a few years ago, and how easily people forget what a close shave that was

“Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it”
George Santayana
The gall of these people. They are shameless.
Speaking of ‘shameless’ whatever happened to John Dalli. It seems to have gone all quiet on that front.
Yes, whatever happened to John Dalli ? Many still say that he is CORRUPT. How about having some insight into what went on on the night he was questioned by the police. There seems to be a serious conflict of interest as the police were supposed to investigate Daewoo and the anonymous letters and the allegedly fake Jersey bank statement.

The party should call back Amanda Ciappara as she is one of the best journalists who can grill Joseph about basic economic and financial concepts.
Good point, Daphne. Even though I couldn’t comprehend all of the video, I got the gist. The git, as usual, fucked up.
He’s a perfect example of the disfunctional bunch he used to represent. Unfortunately, the bunch now have an even more useless, clueless, totally inexperienced leader.
Thinking people, please think.
Am I the only one who realises that this is happening all over again. Just smarter and in an ever degenerating society.

In my opinion Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera should have renounced from hearing this case !
What about Gonzi not respecting the decision of the people in the divorce referendum? Try not to be biased and write in an honest way keeping away the BLUE pen!
kif tghid ommi ‘kulhadd ghandu xi jxomm taht idu’….
[Daphne – What a vulgar expression. Your mother can’t have come from a particularly good background.]
“Kull min jgholli abtu ghandu xi jxomm”: disgusting expression.
@ Joseph;
Mela xi jkollok ”taht idek” li jinten daqs hekk?
If polls were to show that the majority of Maltese want the budget to pass, would Franco Debono still vote against?
why should Dr. Sant have any regrets – for having wanted Malta to have a “partnership” or special agreement (call it what you wish) just as other non-EU countries have with the EU, thus keeping Malta’s sovereignty intact?
The ones who should show regrets are those who fooled the Maltese people into believing that membership would bring LM100 million (€232 million) a year forever. Today they have been caught out as having resorted to downright lies to get Malta into the EU.
No one said it would be forever. We all knew it would be reduced in the end once things worked out.
Try spreading less obvious lies please. That way whatever dumbass agenda you have won’t be so blatant.
Instead, Malta got Lm 1.6 million which miraculously kept increasing to 855 million euro with a further 628 million for the next 7 years.
Joining the EU as full members brought order how we do things, update laws, and conduct Budget processes.
Had we become ‘Partners’ (which doesn’t exist), we would still be in the same morass like we were in during the ‘golden years’, undisciplined, uncontrolled, undemocratic, etc., etc.
We are still burdened by characters like AST, KV, EB, JDG, LB et al. Just imagine if these plus others are given key ministries should the LP win next election! Mamma mia, x’biza. X’dizastru.
Int haga ma tifhimx, Privitera: kemm konna (u ghadna!) xortina tajba li l-Ewropej lesti jqisuna bhala membri ugwali daqshom!
Barra li iktar qisna tribu Bedouin li wehel fl-istess post, ghamilna l-ikbar parti ta’ l-istorja indipendenti taghna nilaghqu l-pariah states tad-dinja.
Bejn membri shah tal-Unjoni Ewropea u l-paljazza tal-Mediterran, anke kieku kelna nhallsu jaqblilna b’ta’ l-ewwel.
Dear Dwardu, do you remember the MLP billboard saying that Malta will get Lm1.5 million from the EU? Well that was wrong, as you should know.
It was nearer to 1 billion. Be credible (if you can). I understand that you still are against the EU. What mentality. Most probably you would have preferred a partnership with Ceaucescus’s Romania, Tito’s Yugoslavia, Gaddafi’s Libya, or Kim il Sung’s Korea.
And by the way, no regrets Alfred Sant (who is now aiming for a goody job in Brussells) did not come up with the Svizzera fil-Mediterran. It was his arch enemy Dom Mintoff who came up with the idea more than sixty years ago.
So now Consuelo Scerri Herrera has denied bail to the man who had uncovered her father’s involvement with Lorry Sant …
Franco, you should desist from your opposition to the budget vote. If you bring down the government you will suffer a massive humiliation which will be a disgrace all your life.
I think I have sussed out Joey’s cunning plan to reduce the amount households pay for utilities. It is very simple and environmentally friendly to boot, it also has the added benefit of making his recently passed idol proud.
He will switch the power off for 24 hours a week, resulting in approximately a 14% saving in electricity per household.
His Doctorate from the Baldrick School of Economics seems to be paying off.
Slightly, if at all, off-topic: Silvio Parnis was seen doing the rounds at a massive shopping complex in Catania last Saturday. On the morrow, he was uttering his words of wisdom at the Labour party’s activity antecedent to Joseph Muscat’s speech.
Hsibt li m’ghandhomx flus jien, silly me.
Eddy Privitera.
Nahseb dawk il-milljuni u li ghad iridu jigu, Alfred Sant bil-Partnership, habba is-sovrenita’ tal-marid mohkom kien igibhom minn taht il-parrokka.
