EU BUDGET – THE TRILLION-EURO SPLIT

Yes, why don’t we put these people in charge? It strikes me as being the perfect time to do it. After all, when things are looking rough, who better to cope than an ex Super One reporter, an inarticulate ex police inspector, and an increasingly doddery and confused relic from Mintoff’s cabinet?

      • Futur Imcajpar says:

Keep with the times, Eddy. The millions have ALREADY come and are doing the rounds in our economy. It would be justice of a sort if it should stop as soon as Labour is in power, since they did their utmost to prevent Malta from getting any in the first place.

Simon Busuttil, Fenech Adami et al were perfectly correct in what they said. Il-mazzun hu int but you’re not about to own up to it. I don’t blame you. It is not easy to admit you’ve been backing the wrong horse all your life.

Ghax ma nsemmux kemm tiehu int f’kura medika pubblika, pensjoni, u beneficcji ohra, ja membru non-produttiv tas-socjetà?

Ix-xjuh bhalek huma whud mill-leeches li gabuna fid-dizastru ekonomiku globali li ninsabu fih illum. Int tiddizgustani. Is-socjalizmu jiddizgustani. Viva l-kapitalizmu. Viva l-monarkija.

Stenna naqra ha naraw. Minn hsibtu lil Gonzi?

Mur gibu kien Joseph qed jinnegozja bhalissa. Lanqas kellu l-hila jgib lis-Socjalisti mieghu fil-vot ta’ Toniio Borg ahseb u ara kemm ser jaghtu kasu meta jigi biex igib il-flus!

Ah yes, ‘The Three Stooges’, They’ll protect us. Oh, and don’t forget the ‘Seven Dinosaur Dwarfs’.

  3. maryanne says:

Whar a bleak future. A reduction in EU funds and Joseph as prime minister. Hold tight to your jobs, people.

  4. drewsome says:

Yeah, and let’s not forget the ganging up on Richard Cachia Caruara – love him or hate him, certainly an exceedingly competent man – at the worst possible time for Malta.

    X’ghala ghajnhom.

    • George says:

drewsome, you may wish to be informed that according to Helena Dalli’s standards Richard Cachia Caruana is incompetent and she has no problem with that because she has a long list of competent persons ready to go on the job as soon as she calls them from her ministry after the next general elections.

Not to mention many others on the lists of Silvio Parnis, Jason Micallef and Gino Cauchi. Labour looks so rich in competent human resources.

  5. Joe Micallef says:

What about Coconut? Shouldn’t be a problem to find him some space.

Then there is also this other important headline:

CYPRUS AGREES BAILOUT WITH INTERNATIONAL CREDITORS – BBC

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-20463760

“”The bailout deal includes unpleasant measures,” he told reporters.

Glafkos Hatzipetrou, a senior official of public sector union PASIDY, who was briefed about the deal said: “These measures are unjust, they will be a massacre.” ”

Had Dr. Gonzi followed Joseph Muscat’s advice in the budget speech of 2 years ago and copied Cyprus’s economic strategies, we would be heading into a “massacre.”

Joseph Muscat’s economic policies = “massacre”

    http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20101101/local/gonzi-not-as-good-as-fenech-adami-in-economic-management-muscat.334190

    http://www.maltatoday.com.mt/en/newsdetails/news/national/Budget-2011-Muscat-hits-out-at-Gonzi-s-financial-management-credentials

(Don’t know what happened to Joseph Muscat’s picture in the Malta Today article, but it seems to reflect his upside-down thinking.)

    • ciccio says:

I see that the BBC have changed their headline to “Cyprus makes progress over rescue deal with creditors.”

This is because “A Cyprus government spokesman had earlier said that a deal had been clinched and would be made official later on Friday.

But the IMF and EU stopped short of a final statement, saying that “good progress” had been made.”

  7. John Vella says:

That is why we have to speak to other people to convince them to vote PN.

  8. Reporter says:

You forgot that bright shining sun called Gino. We do really need him to steer us away from the storms awaiting us.

    • Bendu says:

Eddy, After your dismal performance on TVHemm, when two women, present at the studio and one who phoned in, ran rings around you, forcing you to stammer and shake, I wonder whether the replies under your name in various blogs are actually written by you.

  10. The chemist says:
