Judge Farrugia Sacco’s son, a Labour ‘kandidat stilla’, talks about corruption

I can’t exactly see Labour rushing to impeach Judge Farrugia Sacco – can you?
And then we have the Commission for the Administration of Justice, which is supposedly to investigate these matters, chaired by the president of the Republic, whose son Robert is also a Labour candidate and whose daughter-in-law Lydia is a Labour Party high official.
Aside from the fact that all three mentioned are personal friends of Farrugia Sacco’s, of course.
It is this sort of thing which weakens confidence in the institutions which should inspire most confidence. Even if there is nothing untoward and no back-scratching going on, it really looks lousy.

With the backing they have, judges need not worry about anything.
They carry on smiling (see front page picture in today’s The Times of Malta.) There is much more one can say about judges and the impeachment thereof, but…
Daphne: Ghandek wicc tipprova biss issemmi l-kelma KORRUZZJONI ? Aqra r-rapport tal-Awdiur Generali u jkollok fuqhiex tikteb dwar xamma ta’ korrizzjoni ghal sena shiha !
Bil-haqq, ghidilna wkoll x’inhi r-raguni li Gonzi MA RESAQX LEJN IL-FESTA TA’BORMLA LLUM. Jaqaw staha jmur minhabba d-dizastru ta’ progett li ilu mitluq ghal zmien twil ?
U lanqas tghid bghat lill-BUZU li issa hu l-vici-Kap !
Eddy, insejtu zmien Lorry Sant? Tmurx titlob quddiem l-istatwa tieghu int. Min jaf kemm ghamilhek pjaciri.
And the cheat on the right hand of the screen does not bother you?
He bothers me.
He does. And it’s not the cheating that bothers me, but the gormless expression. A man shouldn’t have a permanent smile. Not past the age of twelve.
Whatever he is, he most certainly does not sit in judgement over others.
Mandango, I take it you refer to the one with the words “Moviment Progressiv – Partit Bla Isem” under his picture, right?
Course he does. He has been there for a few months and is bothering me, let alone if we have to take in five years of his government.
2008 – David Farrugia Sacco kien jikkanvazja lil Mario Demarco mill-kazin tal-Banda San Guzepp tal-Hamrun.
2012 – David Farrugia Sacco Kandidat Laburista bil-kanvasers membri tal-kazin San Gejtanu tal-Hamrun.
2017 – Min jaf ma min se jkun dak inhar.
Pinnur bil-pedigree.
Sal 2017 David Farrugia Sacco ikunu lehquh magistrat. Opportunizmu fl-awqa tieghu. F’Malta min mhux kapaci xorta jista’ jilhaq bil-politika.
Min lahhaqhom l-Imhallfin u Magistrati li hemm illum iservu fil-Qrati ? Kemm hemm minnhom, jekk ghad hemm, li gew appuntati minn gvern laburista ?
Where is Franco on this?
This is the kind of person he should have moved a parliamentary motion against if he really believes in the right course of justice.
And then we would see if the Opposition would have voted according to Franco’s wishes as it has done in two previous occasions.
I could not find the relevant articles or facts, but I do recall that a while back Judge Farrugia Sacco and some other judge / magistrate were reprimanded by the government for retaining posts in such organisations / committees, like the MOC, band clubs, voluntary organisations etc, placing their own integrity at risk.
The reply from Farrugia Sacco was that he would not resign because he was doing nothing wrong. No action whatsoever was taken by the Commission of the administration of justice
The Judge made a judgment and judged that he should carry on judging.
Mela miskin, dan innocenti.
Korruzjoni instutuxinilizata.
Min hexa mexa.

@mister – my thoughts exactly – m’hawnx flus fl’idejjien..
Another Timon of Athens scenario…..
In my opinion Judge Farrugia Sacco should be suspended from his duties since he is being accused of corrupt practice.
In such cases disciplinary measures are normal procedure in the civil service Further reluctance from taking the appropriate action may be interpreted as a negation of justice and fairness and will surely do a great harm to the whole judiciary.
Were any civil servant in lower grade involved in this case, he would have already been suspended. Why there should be two weights and two measures?
In that picture there is someone missing. The son of KMB’s ex personal assistant.
Taf bizzejjed fejn qeghda il-korruzjoni int Daphne. Tick Tock.
Dawn nies gagbini u korrotti. Lino Farrugia Sacco minn meta Alfred Sant lahqu mhallef haseb li hadd ma jista’ ghalih aktar, imma l-gustizzja ghandha idejha kbira. Ma nafx kif ma’ jisthix jidhol u jimxi gol-bini tal-Qorti.
Youu should see how Farrugia Sacco’s eyes sparkle with enthusiasm when the president’s son, Labour lawyer and star candidate Robert Abela, appears before him.
My dear Xmun, do you know who the President of the Commission for the Administration of Justice, is? If you do not, just ask around.
Min hu serju lil dawn in-nies itajjar, mela lil RCC, Austin Gatt, jew Carmelo Mifsud Bonnici.
Min hu bully jiggieled il-korruzzjoni mela jaghmel affarijiet ghal avvanzi personali tieghu.
Riya: Nahseb Gonzi ggeldilha lill-korruzzjoni – billi l-ligi tal-Whistleblower ma jridx idahhalha, jekk ma tkunx tapplika ghal-reati li jigru fil-futur, ghax wisq jibza li tant saru abbuzi u atti ta’ korruzzjoni li GonziPn jinqasam f’elf bicca !
There is one thing which really baffles. More than anything else. Really.
Now this Joey Muscat has been harping and harping about meritocracy and that the family one comes from should not determine the opportunities open to one. And yet, Robert Abela is given prominence because he is George Abela’s son.
I know, I know. All pigs are equal, while some pigs are more equal than others. But, by Jove, there are too many pigs in this particular sty!
Hbieb tal-hbieb tal-hbieb.
Crieka fic-crieki tac-crieki goc-crieki.
Jew xi haga hekk.
Skond Emmy Bezzina.
I’m lost for words. Is there a way that my case may be transferred to another judge?
The involvement of Malta in this corruption scandal is the most serious of all because none on the four others implicated by the IOC in Greece, Lithuania and Serbia is a serving member of the judiciary courts of their respective country.
Disgraceful. The only way out for Lino Farrugia Sacco is to resign to save his face, that of the Maltese Judiciary and the reputation of Malta in the international sports field.
Li Ghamel Lino Farrugia Sacco huwa kas kriminali u ghandi jigi investigat mill-Pulizija jekk ghandna pajjiz serju.
Ghamiltilha unur lil Malta Dr. Farrugia Sacco tal-kummidji.Taghtihom ezempji zbieh lil-isportivi Maltin ja korrot.
Ghalhekk ilhaqt hemm biex tfotti u taghmel il-korruzzjoni ja halliel. Ghandu ghax jitkellem ibnek dwar il-korruzzjoni ja qatta purcinelli.
Int missek tirrezenja minn kollox u tmur tinheba jew tintefa go l-iskip ta’ Joseph Muscat bhal ma’ ghamel ibnek.
Waqqajt wicc Malta u wicc il-Qrati Maltin ghar redikolu. Ilhom jghidu bik in-nies u fl-ahhar il-buzzieqa nfaqat ja bnieden korrot li int.
Is Farrugia Sacco a member of the aprons club?
If he were, it would be one of the suspended. There’s three of those at the moment.
Unfortunately our Judges to not grasp the basic fact that they must lead an exemplary life so that they are to be respected. this cannot be gained by being Presidents of MOC ASA or MBA etc, there must be a code of ethics and if you enter another role in public life and you face such accusations you should resign immediately,
Jaqq xi kruha ta’ nies, ma jisthux jidhru ukoll.
Kieku jien ninheba wara hajt.
