Remember that Anglu Farrugia has no insight into his own lack of value, brains and debating skills

This leads me to wonder how kindly he took to being replaced at the 11th hour by, of all people, Franco Debono. He can’t have been too happy about being deprived of his couple of hours in the spotlight.
Farrugia has no insight into his lack of worth, so quite frankly, I don’t think it is he who is chickening out of these debates with Simon Busuttil, but those around him in the party who are finding ways of hiding him from television audiences.

He was on Super One yesterday, explaining that what happened at Xarabank was shocking. But he could not explain why.
What a political jerk.
He referred to it repeatedly as an adventure (eg. xi haga li taghmel ma l-iscouts fil-Form 2) and a mishap (eg. xi haga li jigrilek meta tkun camping ma’ l-iscouts u ma tafx fejn hu il-hudo pit).
He mumbled the name of his direct opponent then remembered it was something something Busuttil and reminded everyone we are in the middle of an electric campaign.
The PL know that Anglu Farrugia is now a liability, having been forced to allow Jason Micallef to contest in the same district.
With Jason’s strong following it’s very likely that Anglu will not be returned to Parliament, bringing shame to a party that loses its deputy leader during the elections.
Pity. Was looking forward to one of his diskorsi mqanqlin.
Always on the rekort.
It is becoming ‘cara daqs il-kristall’ that Anglu could not be sacrificed on Xarabank facing Simon Busuttil.
Now the clowns are trying to have the encounter televised with people like Godfrey Grima or Balzan to act as a prop for Anglu Rekord.
Kieku jinduna x’qed jigri, Anglu jaqbad u jirrizenja. Imma anqas biss qed jinduna.
Your analysis is spot on.
Both Anglu and Frankie will be irrelevant after the next election.
They’re a bunch of clowns who can’t get anything right. And they know it.
Bil-Malti jissejjah disprament.
If I were Anglu and Muscatasked me to concede my opportunity to debate with my counterpart, I would be offended.
Obviously Anglu was keen to participate in Muscat’s great Franco plan and felt relieved to be given such a good excuse to chicken out.
The guy who replaced Anglu, who is no longer short of that sandwich, decided to have his picnic at WE studios.
His behavior shows how desperate he is and can only be explained as a fear at the thought of having the PN winning again next election which would be his final blow.
