I trust the same people took the trouble to watch Tonio Fenech this afternoon

Joseph Muscat has uploaded the following pictures of his business breakfast meeting yesterday, on his Facebook wall. I thought I should give them a wider airing among a different audience to Bajli Power and Antonella tas-Snoopy and the like.
No prizes for guessing why.
And will somebody please explain to Louis Grech that it’s time he shed that three-fingered gesture?

Shouldn’t “Business Forum” Marlene be on the main table with Joseph & co?
In the last photo you can see her on another table behind Joseph.
She’s trying to figure out if all this will have an effect on the voltage and compatibility of her Rabbit.
And she’s looking rather bored, I must say.
Konrad has a weird sense of graphics. What’s with the Disney frame?
Joseph Muscat would be more credible if he uploads the replies to Tonio Fenech’s questions.
Where’s the breakfast?
And where’s the beef?
panic, panic, panic.
[Daphne – Yes, that’s true. It must be hell at Labour HQ. They’re ringing around trying to persuade the media to stop discussing the subject. Or have you forgotten I’m likely to know something like that when it happens?]
Brilliant, spend gazillions on one super pledge only to watch it sink after two days.
They’re hilarious.
LOL (I hate to use that meme, but it’s the only one that5 fits here).
You don’t realise how hysterical you are coming across.
Is Louis about to finger someone?
Oh well I’m sure glad I wasn’t invited to this breakfast – nobody is smiling.
It’s a pity the press conference was given early in the afternoon.
I suppose it was necessary so it would be on the evening news but a lot of people who were at work will have missed it.
NET should broadcast it again and again at different times of the day – Tonio Fenech single-handedly dismantled the Labour proposal.
Completely agree with you regarding most of us not being able to watch it…hopefully they air it again later tonight
You can watch it here.

How sad. Isn’t this country a truly amazing place with the same people attending so called breakfast meetings organized by BOTH parties?
When will the business community learn not to “sell” itself to one political party or the other?
I am hardly surprised that a law to regulate party funding has never seen the light of day. We are slowly but surely becoming a nation without any principles. Viva chi regna!
[Daphne – For once we are in TOTAL agreement.]
On a completely different subject, why can’t you, Daphne, take your blog to the next level (upwards for a change) and insist that nom de plumes cannot be used. Surely in this way you will eliminate most of the junk and elevate the level of discussion.
[Daphne – It doesn’t bother me. Most people identify themselves to me by means of their real email address. And I never allow people to use anonymity to grind personal axes against others. Also, if it’s good enough for online forums and comments-boards the world over, it’s good enough for me. In any case, the situation developed because there is no way of checking whether a person’s ‘real name’ actually is his or her real name. timesofmalta.com started out insisting on real names, as I recall, then gave up in the flood of John Borg and Mary Grech and similar. I eliminate a lot of the junk when moderating comments – you’d be surprised at what comes in.]
Tony, you just made the “Baxxter” guy shit himself at the very idea of showing his face.
[Daphne – Oh, I doubt it. No more than you are ‘shitting yourself’, to use your crude expression, for the same reason.]
Why should I show my face? To have your lot burn down my house and the other lot burn my career prospects?
I’ve mentioned countless powerful people in five years of posts, and rarely have I praised them.
By Maltese standards, the posts would qualify as insults. Malta is a small place, with close-knit professional circles, and I don’t relish the prospect of facing a hostile interviewing board.
It makes no difference who I am. I am nobody, and we are legion. Always lived my life alone, been searching for a place called home.
I know that I’ve been cold as ice, ignored the dreams, too many lies. Somewhere deep inside, somewhere deep inside me, I found the child I used to be and I know that it’s not too late, never too late.
Tonio Fenech’s press conference:

I’m quite sure something can be done with the first photo with Louis giving the two fingered salute.
Lots of Decesares there.
[Daphne – It was at their hotel, that’s why.]
Daph, you don’t get it.
It’s a gang gesture :P fo shizzle in my drizzle.
Or else he is signalling to everyone else that he is in his third age.
