Obama had proper writers (and still does)

So they get the Obama placards (Muscat2013), the Obama balloons, the Obama confetti, and the Obama lighting and tents – and then they forget that the Obama campaign is built on the work of scores of interns from Harvard, Yale and George Mason, and not a bunch of struggling and barely literate law and economics students from the University of Malta, with IQs that scud over the tiles.

All that money spent, and then they get the people who write for Maltastar to produce the copy for their campaign website. “We will be listening to everyone and answer their questions.”

It’s so true that the devil lies in the detail.

And with all the money spent they could have at least made a point of printing the placards with the same message on both sides. With the camera filming from behind it looked like all the Labour supporters were surrendering en masse.

  2. H.P. Baxxter says:

That’s not all. Joseph Muscat speaking in Burmarradi is like Obama using ebonics.

Is that our flag or Labour’s dirty laundry hanging in the sunshine?

  4. Natalie says:

That’s a literal translation from Maltese: ‘ Se nkunu qed nisimghu lil kulhadd u nwiegbu l-mistoqsijiet.’

  5. Gorg tal-Pastizzi says:

You are going to complain that Labor copied the Obama logo? You do know that PN cloned an Obama campaign billboard and they are using the NBC logo right?

  6. Qeghdin Sew says:

    Good point.

  7. Radagast the brown says:

Toni Abela looks like Bombur the dwarf but Joseph is quite chubby as well

I suppose the PN protégés are not educated at the UOM, but the likes of Harvard, Stamford and Yale. Uejja Daphne you’re being a purcinella now!

[Daphne – No, but they have other advantages which Labour elves lack. Not all education takes place at university. And they start out with a massive advantage anyway: they’re more intelligent to begin with, which is why they’re not rooting for Labour.]
