They voted NO. And if you can’t grasp the significance of that, start worrying about your IQ, besides worrying about theirs.

They voted NO but were so quick to ride the ticket after the people they fought against won.

Will Sandro Mangion be coming back to vote Labour?
“People frequently ask me whether I plan on returning toMalta. As things stand, my partner and I have no intention of moving back before retirement age. Actually, we are seriously considering purchasing a property here. At the same time, I have not only kept my house inMaltabut also renovated it. It might seem like a contradiction, but not to me. It’s cool to be both an islander and an inhabitant of a country right in the heart of the continent at the same time. For the time being, unless circumstances compel us to change our mind, our base will remain here. We do feel at home here: we both enjoy our jobs and social life, lead a rather exciting life, and we are lucky to have a network of both Maltese and non-Maltese friends who make our life so fulfilling.”

Yes they voted NO to EU membership, but half of them work/ed there. Deep down they know where their bread is buttered but they take the sausage and say that pork is not good for you.
Talking of IQ, the average Labour mind (and possibly that of the average Maltese) does not see the significance of EU membership. The other day I heard someone complain about the money spent on the Piano project in Valletta.
They just can’t understand that ‘man does not live by bread alone’.
That’s why the new power station and the (promised) reduction of energy bills made such a hit. They couldn’t be bothered whether this is feasible and/or if so at what cost and under what circumstances.
So yes, as you put it, if one “can’t grasp the significance of that, then start worrying about your IQ, (besides worrying about theirs)”.
Toni Abela looks like he was plucked out straight from some sexist 1980s Lino Banfi film about short men with a low IQ.
He reminds me of Danny de Vito too.
Dik min hi, dik il-faqa ta’ hdejn Toni?
[Daphne – Ruth Frendo. She was on TVM this morning I think.]
Her plunging neckline matches Toni Abela’s plunging IQ rather nicely.
And now they want the electorate to believe that they actually WANT Malta to stay in the EU?
Is that the rubber doll standing besides Toni Abela?
This video clip brings tears to my eyes, when I remember those bitter cold days in winter watching F’Bahar Wiehed on NET tv and this song was launched.
Prosit Daphne for refreshing our memories.
Toni Abela looks like one of General Zia ul Haq’s henchmen.

Le ghal-EU
Iva ghal certezza ta’ bidla
Ghidilna x’bidla hi Joseph Muscat ghax ahna mhux qed nifmhuk u rridu nkunu nafu x’ghandek f’mohhok u mhux paroli biss. S’issa duhhan biss qed naraw u nisimhu hiereg minn fommhok.
Nahseb li m’aghndekx xi tmaqdar minn dan il-gvern ghax m’ghamiltx kritika wahda bis-serjeta’ jew li taghmel sens.
Il-poplu serju nies serji u b’visjoni jrid ghax bil-paroli u bl’invenzjonijiet ma’ naslu mkien.
Tal-labour jistennew il -bajtra taqa f‘ halqhom fil waqt li in- Nazzjonalisti jistinkaw biex dik il -bajtra joholqu prodott iehor minnha. L -ideat originali tal -Labour dejjem kienu dizastru ghal-pajjiz.
