David Thake on Facebook:
If Labour really believes in meritocracy, then it should expect to lose this election.

They are doing their best …..
…. they can’t event do that well
Also good, on the theme of meritocracy, and the promise by Muscat to retain Pullicino Orlando Smith as MCST chairman, is Raphael Vassallo:
“So much for ‘meritocracy’ . . . (this must be) the shortest-lived electoral promise in political history.”
The promise of meritocracy in public appointments by Joseph has been aborted even before being given the chance to see the light of day.
Brilliant!
Good one, David!
The Labour Party knows that it doesn’t have the political class to deserve winning elections. This is why they lost all elections since 1981 except one. The Mintoffian legacy will continue to haunt them but they are also inept to lead Malta.
By contrast, the Nationalist Party has been entrusted with 12 out of 20 legislatures since self government.
Golden words
After each electoral defeat, the Labour Party takes decisions that would result in yet another electoral defeat.
Following the 2008 electoral defeat Labour elected Joseph Muscat instead of George Abela.
Following Muscat’s election as party leader Labour elected Anglu Farrugia and Toni Abela as deputy leaders. Three fatal mistakes in succession.
A salute to you, again, David.
